A great meal to celebrate our 8th grader’s MS graduation and my FIL’s 75th birthday! Thankful, too, for the Katz family’s support of our school’s fundraiser back in April - we were able to use a gift card we had won at that event.

Definitely a “seen and be seen” kind of vibe, but we did not feel out of place at all and the service was warm and welcoming and super accommodating of both our youngest son’s allergies and our large party. Thank you so much, especially Katrina who was patient and attentive throughout our meal.

Rolls were delicious, the whole crispy fish was a showstopper, and the drinks were perfect. All in all, a superb evening!

Unprofessional and Disrespectful Service at Taisho

I recently dined at Taisho in Los Angeles, and I feel compelled to share my experience due to the unprofessional and disrespectful service I encountered.

Upon reviewing the menu, I inquired about cooked sushi options. Instead of receiving assistance, the waitress responded dismissively, stating, “This is a sushi place; I think you’re confused,” and walked away without offering further help. This left me feeling embarrassed, especially given the close proximity of other diners.

At the end of my meal, while attempting to leave a $10 tip, I mistakenly entered $100. When I sought assistance to correct this, the waitress ignored me. After adjusting it myself, she loudly remarked, “You meant $10 for tipping, trying to change it?” in front of other patrons, further adding to my discomfort.

I approached the front desk to express my concerns, but the response was indifferent: “Okay, I’ll talk to her.” There was no apology or effort to address the situation.

Such behavior is unacceptable in any service industry setting. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements appropriate training to ensure all patrons are treated with respect and courtesy!

The ambiance was excellent and the service was ok. But the food was hit or miss - with some items coming out excellent and others falling flat on flavor. Seabass robata-yaki and crispy Brussels sprouts were awesome. Skip the lobster noodle, because somehow it had almost no lobster flavor whatsoever - it was beautifully presented, but very bland and dull.

Went for a friend's birthday a few weeks ago and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! My favorite dish was the spicy kurbobuta fried rice. The music was really loud but overall a great dinner, will definitely go back.

Dr Dre and Andersen Pak restaurant. Sign me up! The service and atmosphere were great. We ordered alot of food and got to try alot of different things. Some were great like the wagyu beef and others were just OK which is why I gave it 3 stars. It's probably closer to 4 considering the service was great. Drinks were good also. I will admit in not a sushi person so I only tried one piece of sushi and it wasnt for me.

Was craving some sushi for dinner on a nice Saturday night. Oh my, I was definitely impressed with this sushi spot. Had to take the bar, and the bartender was so welcoming but didn't catch his name. Here are the rolls that I ordered. The lobster roll is my top favorite! Albacore onion roll. Yuzu kosho roll. To end the night, a delicious dessert the butter cake.

Issue has nothing to do with the restaurant more with the valet. Jose was rude, not helpful, and quite frankly borderline aggressive. They “claim” they have contracts with other businesses in the area to park cars there at night. Today, I caught a valet red handed parking in a PUBLIC METERED SPOT. They claimed that was theirs too. At the time, a security guard for the restaurant said they can park in public spots, but I indeed looked it up and that is FALSE. As a valet you CANNOT park in a PUBLIC metered spot. You can apply for a permit to do so, and at that point you would have to display signs saying after x time this is a valet zone. However, NONE of that was clearly displayed and therefore that does NOT belong to them. They may have ownership of the metered spots directly in front of the restaurant, but not around the corner. It is unfair to other businesses WHO ALSO ARE ON THE SAME BLOCK, to not have parking for their PAYING customers but said restaurant can claim the entire block and behind it as well. Please note, I go to the boxing gym next door twice a week. I usually park in their assigned spaces behind the building, but when that is also full, what options do I have left? I just ask to leave the non demarcated metered spots for the PUBLIC, and don’t be a jerk about it. At this point, it's not a matter of ease. I'm perfectly fine parking a block and a half down the road in a metered spot. This is about the principle of the matter. That, I cannot let go. I know my rights legally vs what Jose was saying was clearly bluffs that I can easily disprove. The restaurant already has the lions share of ALL the parking on the entire block, be a good neighbor and allow the PUBLIC to park in the PUBLIC metered spots. Suffice to say, I will not let this go, and if this does require multiple complaints to the city, in which once again, I know what is legally right vs wrong, I will take it there.
