I went into Uoichiba Handroll for lunch in Sherman Oaks on the day they were closed by mistake. Fortunately, Omar, who was running the fish/wagyu “deli counter” at the Joint, offered to slice 1/2 pound of chu toro for me and allowed me to dine in at one of the bar height tables and the waitress at the coffee bar part of the joint gave me chopsticks, soy sauce, wasabi and napkins. Problem solved. I LOVE this place!
Absolutely amazing experience, the workers are so nice and helpful and will take the time to explain things to new customers. The dry aged collars are absolutely delicious as well as the smoked salmon that tastes like heaven, would highly recommend, and thank you Josh for helping me.
