MY FAVORITE LA BAR!!! My review is loooong overdue as I've been coming here for years. I've moved further South on Ventura but I still manage to come to what I feel is my home in bar form. I'm a woman who loves mixology and good bartending and most bars are extremely male centric. TLP is great for women and men. It wouldn't surprise me that many women love this bar. You will hear everyone mention "the feel" of the bar and it's because they seem to consistently hire AMAZING BAR AND WAIT STAFF. Kudos to management for keeping such excellent consistency. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME..I come to the bar I sit at the bar and get an INCREDIBLE convo from the bartenders. They always serve me the most fantastic drinks and make me feel like a FUGGIN QUEEN. I love them so much for this. They manage people well and that's hard to come by. Even if I've had a bad day they seem to always say the thing that lifts my spirits -- it's wild. Therapy in a bar almost. lol Keep up the good work guys! See you again soon.

First of all, The Local Peasant is my JAM!! The food is bomb, the staff is dope, and the atmosphere is a vibe. It's super close to my home, which is nice. It is my neighborhood spot and they better NOT ever close!

Came at 8pm on a Monday to order food to-go. 3/25/24. No one greeted me when I walked in. I stood at the podium for about 5 minutes and no one came to seat me or take my order or literally said anything to me even though the staff saw me waiting. So I went to the bar and the bartender rushed me thru my order, and I didn't even finish ordering before he started helping other customers. I had to call for his attention and tell him I wasn't done bc he was pretty much acting like I wasn't there. I was ignored by all of the staff except when it was time to take my payment. I tried to make small talk with the bartender but he just said one sentence then walked away and said "have a good night."This place ruined up my mood. Terrible customer service and I felt ignored. I don't know if it was something about me specifically or if they're just like this. I was hoping the food would make up for it but no. It was good but not great. If I were you I might order from here online but not eat in person because I hated the experience and the burger, cobbler and a drink was not worth $45. I'm adding a picture of the $12 cobbler.

The smash burger was so good. Bacon was very smoky. Spicy fry sauce was also great.

Their cocktails are very nice and they have a decent selection of draft beers, but a little pricy. I can't speak too much about the food because I've only ever had their fries (which were very good). Overall a nice place to grab a late night drink with the boys.

Always great food and drinks! The staff couldn't be more friendly and attentive. Definitely a go to loca biz. Highly recommend!!

I ran into this place for a late-night eat, and the atmosphere was charming. I like the feel of this place. I got a tri-tip sandwich, which was good, and the bun was funky, which I enjoyed. My friend got a pot pie made differently than you'd expect. I appreciated their take on the food. My only problem was that the drinks were watered down so much that I told them to give them to me on the Rocks. Because this is just juice, you are charging me 20 bucks for, LOL. Overall, if you and the Sherman Oaks Studio City area, it's worth a shot.

Absolutely loved it and will be returning, our server made the experience fun, we got the potato crisps with dill aioli, the smash burger, a portobello burger and a homemade pickle and all of them were awesome. Great choice for lunch ?

When we were sat our sever was quick with the water and then the drink order. After that if we didn’t get his attention we didn’t see him.Our app came out cold, and our food took FOREVER to come out. Additionally they couldn’t seem to get tables straight. We had someone else’s app come to our table also and then our food went to the table beside us first. The food was ok. The chicken on the sandwich seemed a bit overcooked and the server put in the wrong fries. We did flag down someone (not our server) to get that fixed.Loved the vibe but service and food left something to be desired.

We come here for dinner and happy hour all the time. Great food and service. Just tried to see what brunch is like. Wondering about the brunch menu and could not access it despite trying for a good 15 minutes. No clue what's on the menu. Perhaps fix your website.

We used to be regulars here but they got rid of some staples like fried chicken and Bloody Mary bar so we stopped coming. We were in the area today and decided to give it a try for the old times' sake. Apparently, the Bloody Mary bar is back (on the weekends) and the food was just amazing. Everything we tried was delicious. I highly recommend Fish and Chips- I usually take off the breading in most places because it is just too much but here it was perfect. Amazing fish and chips. Hubby had beef Wellington and it was top notch! The place was packed and the lively! Service was good and on point. We are so happy we came back. We will be back for the brunch (and Bloody Mary bar!)
