I went to Casa Del Rey in Temple City for years and loved it. This one did not disappoint. As a vegan it is difficult to order and yet our server Melissa made it easy. I had a veggie taco and wonder refried beans. Both were delicious. I will certainly return.

Been awhile since I visited Casa Del Rey. Met up with some friends for Happy Hour and Taco Tuesday. The Happy Hour Margaritas were good, you could tell they had tequila in them. The Taco Tuesday deal was any taco for $1 off, I had the beef and they were fully loaded and good. Our server, Yalda, was awesome. She was friendly and attentive even though she had a bunch of tables to take care of.

The food was just barely ok. It had very little flavor, the rice was old and with newer mushy rice in between. The only good thing was the table salsa and the waitress was nice. But I Would not go back here. The restaurant itself is pretty inside.

Our one lunch experience here was only fair. A busy noon spot with average food and service. The chicken taco was good, but the tortilla soup watery and tasteless. Refried beans smothered in cheese. Watch out for the parking tickets the city generously hands out.

I was surprised to see any reviews less than five stars. The food at Casa Del Rey has always been phenomenal every time and I would consider myself a tough critic. It's usually very busy but food has always come out reasonably fast even when we go during their busiest hours. The waiters hustle and you can tell. Ambiance is always lively and a great place to take your family.

I've been here a few times and the service/food is usually pretty good. Last time I went though, the service was beyond slow and our waitress kept forgetting things we asked for. We were seated right away but our order wasn't taken for 30 minutes, and by the time our food arrived we had been there for just over an hour. They didn't make my plate correctly either but I didn't even try to have them correct it.
