I don’t know why people complain about this place - I love it! The avocado toast with hard boiled egg on sourdough is the best in the USA IMHO. The breads are great, as are the sandwiches. Did I mention that they sell half sandwiches?!?!
This place presents like a retail store for a bakery that happens to sell food on the side. The baked goods are decent quality. Coffee (note: no espresso) is mediocre at best. I didn’t try the dishes so I can’t speak to them. The vibe is borderline non-existent so if want to sit down don’t bother. I’m not sure why their machine defaults to a 20% tip when they mostly appear to sell retail.

Haven’t been here in a while and boy has it gone down hill! Especially the customer service, the person who took my order was so rude! Cashier was sweet. My sandwich was mostly all dressing. Prices went up also.

I don't comprehend why this bakery scores such high ratings. Their offerings are truly subpar. Their croissants lack flavor. The heart shaped sugar cookies are insipid. The baked goods are aesthetically pleasing but just awful in flavor.

Update: 2024. Been back since my “ missing avocado toast” incident. Almond butter croissant is excellent and told to WAIT for the toast when paying and receiving my bakery items. They have seating for small parties of 1-4……..The service is friendly but they’re all trying to help each other with larger orders and no one verifying completeness but of course they charged full order with $8 avocado toast missing. And yet, I’ll be back because those damn chocolate almond croissants are ridiculously good.

Ordered the chicken pesto on baguette to eat on a car trip.Chicken was pink. Had no way to heat up so tossed it. Better safe than sorry. Disappointed.

Deviled egg salad sandwich was good. For the price of $12.50 I don't think it was worth it since it hardly had any egg salad, only lots of greens but I loved the taste. I would come back but only for the pastries. :)
we were actually on our way out of town and suddenly had a craving for a pastry of some kind as it was too late for breakfast but too early to grab lunch and we weren't all that hungry. we were literally driving by when we saw the building and sign and decided to pull over across the street and walk over. i don't remember exactly what kind of small sandwich my partner ordered but they were pleased and it hit the spot for them and not being too full afterwards. i ordered the blueberry muffin which was delicious and they even warmed it up for me.
