The food is always great! The cooks always put on a great show. Never disappoints! Great setting for a date night or family celebrations!

This place used to be so great! Now the food is dried out and very low quality. The tempura was tasteless & rubbery! tiny pieces of shrimp & veggies smothered in batter. The soup was the only good thing!

Bad service, come in and rushing, no time to look at the menu. We eat we pay but treat us like homeless, no respect your customers.

Usually one of my favorites but lately the chefs are disengaged which takes away the fun.

We go there at least once a year. The food is very good, but the service at the counter is terrible. We stood there at the counter for more than 20 minutes trying to tell them we were there for our party, and they just kept walking back-and-forth and not speaking to us. Finally, a guy came up and my wife tried to say our party was there and the guy interrupted her and walked away again. That’s why when you call here hardly anybody ever answers the phone. Honestly, it’s not like the people that work there aren’t doing anything, they are just understaffed.

Older building in a strip mall, ceiling with lots of stains. Entrance unwelcoming; chair turned backwards with sign taped to it. Food was okay, not bad, nothing special.Parking: Plenty of parking.

First time here. Had lunch with a friend. I really liked the monkey brains. My friend liked his lunch special but not the soup or dressing on the salad. Service was quick. Place is clean. Nice presentation of meal items. Will return & try other items. Recommend.

Great place to go for a birthday celebration. We had a great time at the tappan table, our chef was a lot of fun and the food was delicious. Love the fried rice !

Doing teppan since the earliest days of Benihana. Been everywhere from Cho Cho San to Musashi, Yamato and all the other for over 30 years. Tonight was probably our fourth visit to this ol' school restaurant in central Simi. Not a lot to look at, not an upscale area of Simi Valley, just the best teppan prepared entrees within 30 miles period. Period.

I went to this restaurant because i was informed it was like a traditional sushi house; however, while the food was traditional the service had much to be desired. The server appeared arrogant and I watched as the server bent over backwards to provide service to the other diners but acted like the courtesy afforded myself and my guest was just because they had to appear polite. I went back again thinking the server was just having a bad day but was treated the same way again. As an Asian American, I found his attitude insulting and unacceptable and I will not be eating at this restaurant again. There are other sushi restaurants in Simi Valley which act like they appreciate your business.

We were seated promptly in the hibachi side. Seemed like they dragged ordering out to get another couple at our table. Turned out to be a nice couple. The food was very salty and the lobster was so overcooked I didn't even know what it was at first. Very tough and chewy. The person cooking was not very engaging with us at all. Was disappointed as I hadn't been here in awhile and for the price was expecting much better.
