A great steakhouse. That is what it is and if you are going for the so-called modern place is not that. Great food the best service. Well prepared steak, seasoned lightly, and cooked perfectly. The sides were a perfect size. The cobber was fantastic.

We went here for the first time as a family last night it was very slow maybe 5 tables total, we were excited to try a local steak place maybe now we could stop going to Moorpark for dinner. We ordered filet mignon for both my husband and myself. We asked for it to be cooked medium. Upon receiving the steak it was totally burned outside but completely raw on the inside. I ate it as I was starving however my husband pushed his away and attempted to eat his side of Mac and cheese but this was also freezing cold. My kids food Mac and cheese and a burger were also barely warm. The table next to us had the same issues and had their steaks remade however they didn't bring the people next to us a new steak but instead went and put the one they had already cut into back on the grill. This is a serious food safety violation not to mention disgusting. The waitress never came back to check on us so we never had a chance for a remake and spend our entire meal with no drinks. When she finally showed up with the bill we explained about my husbands steak thinking she would either 1 take it off the bill as he only ate one bite or 2. Offer us a remake for home. She did neither they charged us nearly $90 for only one of us to have eaten. When I requested to speak to a manager, some random looking waiter walked over claiming he was the mod didn't even give me his name till I asked twice. He finally told me his name was Josh, when I informed him about the steaks and the fact we would not be returning he just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry and that they had been having that issue all night. Like wtf if you're having the same issue over and over you speak to your chef and turn down the grill it's not that hard. Not even a real apology or an offer of a refund or credit for next time to try them again. This morning I woke up with severe food poisoning so please everyone stay away from this place if you want steak. I cannot attest to their other food but we most definitely will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone. Update to my review about sutters mill, I went ahead and contacted the manager who also is the daughter-in-law of the Owner only to be told that because I didn't let them know while I was actually eating the food and waited till after we were done eating and the server had cleared our plates, that we were not entitled to any sort of compensation, even though I got sick. She tried to claim that I was lying and that no steaks were returned last night to the kitchen, even though I was literally sitting next to the person who had their steak returned, and re-brought out. However she did mention after that for everybody's information, they will refire the same food apparently they claim they put it on a different part of the grill and the rest of the food, however this is not only gross but illegal. When I informed her of that, she became defensive and started yelling at me saying She literally doesn't care if we don't come back, she doesn't care that I got sick or that the management was lacking yesterday in offering me a refund or anything, and then she hung up on me. Hopefully others see my post and can avoid this place in the future cuz they ABSOLUTELY DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS AT ALL!

A hidden gem in Simi. Great steakhouse with great service. Walk-in reservations took about 40m, but it was well worth it.

It was our first time at the restaurant and our waitress came quickly and asked us what we wanted to drink but we hadn’t reviewed the menu yet so we said to give us a minute. Well, the menu doesn’t have ANY drinks listed alcoholic or non/ alcoholic. She came back and asked again what we wanted to drink? I asked her what they had and she said we have a full bar and started naming soft drinks. It wasn’t until I asked about a wine list that she asked red or white? We said red and she proceeded to name 10, or so, options. We chose one and I suspect she thought we were just being rude but I think she quickly realized we’d never been there before. I think the restaurant might ask their patrons first if they’ve been there before to eliminate some of the confusion we felt. After that everything came into place and we throughly enjoyed our meal. Know that we know what we know, we’ll definitely be back.

We went to dinner here to celebrate my husband's birthday tonight. Our server Joshua was AMAZING. He was on spot with everything. He was so attentive. Our glasses were always full and he checked on us to make sure we were good. We will be going back as the food was terrific. Best meal we've had in a long time. I wish I could give more than 5 stars

We loved the restaurant's ambiance. It is truly an old steak house vibe with private comfy booths. We thought we would eat early so it wouldn't be crowded on a Friday night. It was packed at 5:00. The food was delicious. My husband hasn't had a prime rib this good since Lawry's. I got the chicken piccata, also tasty. It was my husband's birthday and he got chocolate cake and ice cream on the house. The waitress Charisse was wonderful and we will ask for her next time. We found our new favorite restaurant.

The lobster tail here is excellent. They have delicious prime rib. The crab stuffed mushrooms were good but the jumbo shrimp cocktail overshadowed them with how good the shrimp quality and size was. The stuffed baked potato was my favorite side and the other half was great leftover.

We went the day before Valentine's Day just to avoid the crowds. We got the prime rib medium, cooked to perfection. The salmon was amazing. Side of lobster with draw butter was fresh and delicious. This place is a true hidden gem with several years in the business. I would totally recommend this place.

Most delicious prime rib , oh yeah peach cobbler was outta bounds too. Update, I just had the cherry cobbler, dude you need to go get some of this. Oh yeah the prime rib steak is fantabulous !

The food is really good and the service is outstanding. The wait staff is really attentive and checks on you frequently throughout your meal to ask if you need anything else or any beverage refills.I have had the prime rib twice thus far, and it's really flavorful. My only wish is that they offered grilled veggies with their steaks and prime rib.
