Excellent food and prompt service. I did not expect a concert venue tavern to be this good.
This is the 3rd or 4th time we had been to the (Belly Up) Tavern, and we were not disappointed. The service was great, and the atmosphere is fun and lively. Very good, icy-cold martini's started our meals. I had the macadamia nut crusted sea bass, and my wife had an achiote crusted/seared ahi. Both were very good (and reasonably priced for the amount of food that was served). Portion sizes were good/satisfying. We shared a delicious Croissant bread pudding for dessert. The Tavern is a great spot, and we will undoubtedly return.
Second time here and never disappoints. Fast and courteous service. Great food and drinks. Great vibe!
Always enjoy dinners at the Tavern. Several good choices on the menu, food is delicious, a generous pour for a glass of wine, and the friendliest wait staff. Can't go wrong.
Came for dinner before a concert. Service is quick and friendly. Food is delicious and portions a pretty nice sized to big! Noise not too loud and I could hear my dining mate across the table with little problem.
Super fun place.
Great small venue that has lots of big names performing there. Get there early, as long lines definitely form outside prior to doors opening for show, and for any remote possibility of getting one of the sparse tables during the show.
Dining at the Tavern is always a perfect beginning for seeing a show. Service is incredible and the food is always great.
After living isn't San Diego since 81, I finally made it to The Belly Up in 2021 to see The Main Squeeze. Had GA tickets and had a blast. Just eleven days ago I went for the second time. I took friends to see Tommy Castro and local band Black market 3. This time I got seats up in the mezzanine or up in the loft area. Spent a little bit more and it was totally worth it. This is such a great venue with great sound all over the place, big open space, great service, a hanging shark in the middle of joint and great acts. If you haven't been there yet, go you need to go.
Amazing sound! Fun vibes and a great place to see live music. Quick service and affordable concert tickets!!
