We've dined here at least 30 times. It started as a convenience, to enable early access to the venue and we invariably were there only on show nights. But I now eat lunch there if I'm in the area, and we've also had dinner when the club was dark. The cooking is on point, pricing is fair, given the location and zip code, they remember that you've been there before, the wine list of solid and fairly priced, and the drinks are all thoughtfully mixed. Michelin star? No, but it really high level experience every time.

If you're coming to a show at the Belly Up, do yourself a favor and get reservations here. If you dine before your show, you get in before they open the main door, which nets you a prime seat without the need to rush or stress. I've always been impressed with the bartenders here, the drinks are excellent and the service friendly and prompt. The food is the best part. If you order an entree, it will look gorgeous and taste great. The prices might seem a little high, but this isn't chain restaurant sadness. The food is high quality and the sauces and flavors a step above. I'd eat here even without show tickets, it's that good.

Really good schedule of bands, incredible sound, food is pretty good, and there's a big ol fake shark on the ceiling. Probably the best live venue north of del mar, and hilariously everyone's parents LOVES this place. I have never not seen a parent of a friend light up when I mention the belly up. Take your mom and dad and pay 10 bucks for a beer

Great place to enjoy food, drinks, and dessert prior to a show. Ambiance is great with concert posters on the wall and a few TVs to watch the big game. Limited seating so plan early!

We ordered the Lobster dumplings & chix bbq pizza as appetizers. Burger, short rib, salmon & ahi bowl for dinner. All the food was amazing!
