Great food great service will definitely come here again, we got the Cadillac Margarita and it didn't disappoint the table. Everything here in the menu is good. I got the steak and shrimp fajitas and it was just amazing. Just come and see for yourself we will definitely be back.

Pretty overpriced, but historic and great atmosphere
Vegetarian options: We only visit on occasion, due to pricing. Today, we had 4 people for $200

I really wanted to like it. We just moved into the neighborhood and it’s a legendary staple of Solana that we were excited to try. But……..to 100% honest, the food was just not that great. Atmosphere is 10/10 and has the cantina feel that you need out of an establishment that’s been around 80 YEARS. Food needs to up the game and match it.
Plus side: the drinks are strong.

My must go whenever I am in San Diego. The outdoor ambience is fantastic, and the margaritas are amazing every time. Be prepared to wait if you come during peak dinner time, especially on the weekends.

This place is GREAT!! I loved the food, you have to try the Cheese Nachos, the best, but the food, the service, the atmosphere, is inviting. Take your date, bring a date, take your family, take your children (they are all about family), and the owner, Ray, is the best!!
Kid-friendliness: This is a great family oriented establishment!! Very good people!!
Wheelchair accessibility: It’s a flat entry!!

The food is more of an authentic ranchero type style food, good hardy Mexicano, Mexican food a family friendly and motivated atmosphere.
The bar has high shelf liquor and delicious mix drinks and beers.

Best in town
Unfortunately we drove especially to try it, they have nice looking patio, so we didn't call about puppy because she's allowed almost everywhere in her stroller. NO PETS other than service and we won't lie. Fortunately FIDELS next door did.

Visited on a Thursday evening with 2 guests and were seated indoors after about a 5 minute wait. Atmosphere and restaurant are very fun and well decorated.
Their meat options are mostly beef and turkey - chicken is not common on their menu.
Chips & salsa served complimentary.
Ordered the 2 Combination plate - potato taco, cheese enchilada, with rice & beans. My husband got the chicken mole and spare ribs.
We both enjoyed our dinners - though I could've gone without the taco.
Service was friendly and prompt at the beginning of the meal, but by the end of it, nobody was coming near our table (we even tried waving a couple servers down), and it took about 25+ minutes to get a to-go box.
2 entrees and a soda came out to $63 including tip. Overall, it was a little pricey for the value/flavor. Probably wouldn't necessarily return but would recommend if you need a quick, standard Mexican food meal.
Vegetarian options: Cheese enchilada, potato taco

Iconic for all the right reasons—my grandpa was the doctor for the original owners and my dad has been coming here since he’s been a child. Always a must eat place as soon as I get to San Diego!
