This bar is a SUPER NICE sports bar with big TVs and a very friendly staff, especially Randy!! We had a nice time chatting with him and had some great drinks. Great selections of drinks and even specials for the Dodgers game. Do yourself a favor and skip the place down the street and come here!!

The owner is a complete A-Hole!! Yelled at my daughter & I for using the restroom. Asked us if we know how to read. He then went on to continue yelling at us & making a scene in front of his customers. Apparently there's a sign posted somewhere. Seemed completely unstable, imagine a man yelling at two ladies smh. Why he didn't post the sign on either bathroom door or tell us when we walked in is beyond me but either way we did Not need to be scolded by an old man in front of his customers. He also told me "I wouldn't know what it's like to run a business" & when I said actually I do have my own business (trucking company) he yelled "yeah right you don't own a business". I can only imagine how this man talks to his own mother, wife or daughter.

Pretty good food, good beer on tap, a nice back patio, and TV's and games! I definitely would rather spend more time here than the restaurant/bar next door as the servers are more attentive and food comes out faster. Solvang is kinda known to be a "date" town for couples which makes it hard for a sports bar to compete with. But if you're a tomboy or looking for a cool place to hang and just chill, this is it. This is the only place in Solvang I recommend to friends and I've lived here for years.

We were looking for a place to have a quick dinner in Solvang. If you are not familiar with Solvang, the streets fold up at 7:00 pm, and many places are not open Monday and Tuesday. We went to a pub, and it was so freaking warm we couldn't stay. I don't think most of the places (stores and restaurants) have A/C and when it is 92 outside with no breeze, this is not good for making dinner pleasant. We left in search of some place cooler. Ended up at Taps and Sports. It had a sign that said A/C so this made the decision for us. They could have served dog food and I would have been happy to bask in the cooler place. But the food was very, very good. We had the wings, a salad and chicken fingers. Also had a few brews and the selection was very good and very tasty. The owner was awesome and chatted with us for a bit. The hours are fairly short due to the worker shortage but if you are in Solvang and want good food and excellent beer, I highly recommend this place. Oh, and they have a pool table, air hockey and foosball :-).

Great place with amazing people. The owner is super nice and down to earth. I'm definitely visiting again next time is solvang! PS. One of the few places that stays open late in the area. Wink.
The bar is clean. Chill. Great games to play. And Randy, the bartender is great. He's incredibly nice. Has quick service, a good conversationalist, and just a good guy to all of his customers. He even came outside to my car when I forgot my debit card. Definitely check the spot out if you're in Solvang and you want to just have a chill drink at a sports bar and grab some good beer and food.

This is the kind of place that you just want to tell people about. We were visiting the area and wanted to catch the NBA Allstar game. The other restaurant we'd planned to watch the game at wasn't serving food that evening, and as luck would have it, we discovered this gem of a place. They were so warm and welcoming and more than happy to put the game on for us. The menu had a little something for each of us. We enjoyed the air hockey, foosball, and shooting hoops on the basketball game. Our server was kind and helpful (and patient, as we stayed for the whole game!). It was the perfect place for a family night out!

We come in, the sign on the door says No Food available. Fine, we will grab a beer and watch the game. Then the bartender says YES, there is food. Great! Send out a chicken wrap and some chicken fingers! He says, "Okay, but it'll be a while". 70 minutes pass, my wife inquires about canceling the order, since the lone cook on the line looks like his head is about to explode. Bartender doesn't apologize or placate, he snaps at my polite wife and says, "I TOLD YOU IT WOULD BE A WHILE" and refuses to cancel our order. He brings out "food" but the damage was done. He didn't offer a discount, or a drink or take anything off the bill... so, please, come to this dump if you like neglect and condescension as part of your dining experience.

We walked in and we’re the ONLY two customers to seat down to eat. The bartender was very nice and polite, we ordered our food and one of them came out, mine took 30 minutes to get a simple Cuban Sandwich. The bartender noticed we’re kind of upset and apologized to us and told us the following: “I am so sorry it’s because the Chief is always like that, he doesn’t care about it and he is always rude to him so he couldn’t say a word to him and just wait until he decides to make my food”. I told the bartender that was not his fault at all however that is bad business to treat you like that because ultimately the Chief is hurting the owner business!……the bartender left embarrassed and when my food came in the Cuban Sandwich was not what we were expecting……..No good! We didn’t tell to the nice bartender our opinion because he was already feeling bad for us!Great Bartender, very poor customer service from the Chief!!! He should be gone as far I am concerned, imagine IF the restaurant was packed??? Terrible! I feel bad for the Owner who has no clue how his Chief is putting his restaurant a bad name!
