They are so nice and knowledgeable in finding the Type of wine I was looking for. The food was delicious. We went for their Mardi Gras menu and are excited to return.

Great local wines and a menu to match. Each day a different menu. Great service and just a neat place to have a glass of wine or beer. Had a Wolfe Cab. Pleasantly surprised.

Jason was an amazing host. Generous with his wine selection. The wines were great and the music playlist helped us enjoy our time. Great conversations and the food was delicious. It’s a very well rounded place, we felt welcomed and we will definitely be back.

Great open kitchen, awesome chefs and food and really cool owners. This is a hidden Jem in Solvang

Lovely little Solvang gem. The wine selection is always superb and we love the little couch section where we can indulge in some wines we haven't had before - be sure to try this place when Chef has wine pairing dinners. AMAZING

The service is too good. There are variety of wines and beer you can choose from. Everyone is so friendly over here and a very good cozy spot to soak in all the solvang views. Not as crowded as other places around. A must try

Loved this cute little wine bar tucked away behind one of the main roads. I came over the weekend and was lucky enough to snag some of the manchego stuffed dates with a few bottles of wine for our group. A perfect little aperitif before hunting down sausages and a hearty meal elsewhere in town. You come for the wine but stay for the service, everyone went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our brief visit. Did I spend nearly $100 on dates? Yes I did, but I can't blame Clean Slate for Yula not knowing how to say "no!" Will absolutely come back next time I'm in town and clean out their stash of dates once again

This is my second time coming to the Clean Slate Bar/ Bocce Ball and this is still my favorite wine bar in Solvang. Both the owners are so warm and welcoming, and speak to you like you're part of the family. They go above and beyond with service. Food is amazing, we had ordered a crab/seafood pasta dish in July that was rich and out of this world. This time we came in right before closing for wine and I can't rave enough about both their reds and whites. This is a must have whenever you're in Solvang.

This place was a GREAT experience. The staff is super friendly and make you feel at home! Great vibe! Good selection of wines and the spot is cool for people watching and just chilling in a corner of Solvang that doesn’t feel packed with tourists.

Locally owned and they use local vendors.. The warm and good service reminds me of waiters in the American South.

We were excited to hear they have Cajun Night on Mondays! We were recently in New Orleans and got a taste for the real stuff. Clean Slate did not disappoint! The chef from Louisiana knows what she is doing! I loved the shrimp creole. The patio is nothing special but we sat by the fireplace which definitely helped the ambiance. Unfortunately the music playing over the speakers was hard rock, which was so not the vibe of the place. Play some New Orleans music on Cajun nights! I love that the menu changes daily with what is in season and inspiring. Call and they will text you a photo of tonight's menu. Feels like a locals place, but they were very welcoming to tourists, which we appreciated. We'll be back!

Came in on a Monday as we heard that is their "Cajun Night" as they have a Lousiana trained chef. (She was off that night, so our meal was prepared by the sous chef). He did a good job as the food was excellent and we had recently returned from a trip to New Orleans. The red beans and rice with sausage was on point -- and the g/f loved her shrimp creole. We had the dog with us so were the only ones sitting outside. The heat lamps were acting up but the fireplace worked so that saved the day. Only complaint is that they were playing loud mostly heavy metal music -- when nice cajun tunes or New Orleans jazz would have made the night perfect. If the chef owner were there, we might have said something --- so we are doing it now for next time.
