With limited dining options after 6pm on Sunday in Solvang we were happy to find this place courtesy of yelp. We enjoyed our food and drinks and if in the area again we'd definitely be back.

BEST RAMEN EVER!!! IN SOLVANG ??!! Firstly, thank you to the wonderful and welcoming staff!! The broth was perfect, I loved the roasted tomato, noodles were perfectly dente and the CHASHU...BOY OH BOY THE BEST YOU WILL EVER TASTE. Seasoned and soft and just GLORIOUS!! Do yourself a favor and add extra Chashu! So worth the 1 Hour drive!!!

Do not miss this place. I repeat... if you are passing through. In town. Or 100 miles away. Make a stop. The food rivals New York and as a current SF dweller - that, too (def LA ;). The place wins with positive energy. They chef, owner and lovely bartender. And the food is ridiculous. Big thanks, x.

Super nice service. my salad was huge with plantains, seafood, nachos and avocado. I didn't like the Australian wine.

I'm reposting this for my cousin who had recently reviewed this place but this site is not publicly showing her review. They are very disappointed as other reviews for this place have shown to be great but their experience was far from it. As they were harassed the entire time at the restaurant by one of the employees who kept preying on my little cousin and her friend. Therefor the service they had received was not great. They highly do not recommend " My friend and I went here after a 4 hour drive to tour Solvang. The waiter asked us almost immediately if we were legal to drink and we said no. He went on to say how surprised he was for a good minute as he looked down at my chest. He made several references to how pretty we looked. He was probably twice our age and made us very uncomfortable. He even asked "Am I scaring you?" after he offered to put bitters in our water and we said no. Also, I ordered the ratatouille tart and it doesn't look anything like the pic on Yelp. Our food was not very good either and was overpriced. I don't recommend coming here."

Excellent food! What a surprise to step in this gem and find a Bajan dish! My husband's family is from Barbados and to find out that Harold was not only from Barbados also but had Bajan food on the menu! Jose, the chef...I'm at a lost for words! Every bite was a taste of Bajan heaven! Our waitress was amazing and the atmosphere was great! So happy we arrived late on Sunday and everything else was closed but this gem! Will be back often! Great team!

OMG go there. If they have a curry goat on the menu get it you're welcome. This place should be packed. Clean, eclectic menu, great food

Not coming back. The food was ok but the service was horrible. I'm disappointed and expected more for the amount of positive reviews this place received.

Not worth the gamble. The food was decent and had unique flavors, the prices were justifiable...but for the price of what we were paying, I wouldn't risk coming again and receiving the same kind of service we received today. There was only one other party that arrived before we did but we waited over an hour for our food without any status updates of our food or checking up on us during the wait. We didn't receive our silverware when the first plate came out and were only provided when we requested for it. We were very much disappointed after the positive reviews.

Wow! Chef Harold and his team are so amazing, their welcoming approach to dinning, their genuine concern for the customer's experience, and of course the amazing food they are putting out are only but a few reasons to visit this fantastic establishment. I had a large group of 19 people, which was a bit challenging to try and find a spot in Solvang that would accommodate us...but Chef Harold was welcoming and accommodating. He prepared a fantastic family style meal: First Course: Wild Arugula Salad, Second Course: Catfish, J*** Chicken, and seasoned pulled pork, Special*Course: Cooked Veggie bowl, Seasoned broth and light veggies, Sides: warm bread, rice, roasted veggies, Third Course: Lemon bars and sweet potato bars. All of the food was really (really) flavorful. There was plenty of food so that everyone was content and felt satisfied after a full day of wine tasting. *Chef Harold was extremely attentive to two special cases I made home aware of. The first was that I had two vegetarians in the party and he was happy to make them each a cooked bowl of 'yummy' veggies. The second case was one in the group was really under the weather and had a severe sore throat, to which Chef Harold made him some seasoned broth with a few veggies. I really can't say enough about Chef Harold, his genuine kindness, attention to detail, and fantastic cooking made for a great experience. The mixed drinks, beer, and wine were all very enjoyable as well. We actually stayed behind for a couple of hours enjoying the bar (maybe a bit too much). All in all, I was so happy that I found this amazing location as it truly added a unique experience to the weekend. I hope to be able to come back soon to enjoy another fantastic meal.

Really unique, interesting & delicious dishes. Highly recommend trying. We got the beet salad & onion soup. Both incredibly good. Onion soup was one of the best I've ever had. Great place!

This is a must stop place if you are anywhere near Solvang. The people here are amazing, and you can tell everything is cooked with love. We tried a lot of things here, starting with: Oysters- never had oysters prepared like this, it was good, but you really couldn't taste the oyster, so not my favorite. Duck Prosciutto Salad- very good salad. They put a lot of dogs and walnuts in it, and the prosciutto goes very well with it and the dressing is nice and vinegary. Shrimp Curry- also very good. Has a nice kick to it, but not too much heat. Just enough to keep you coming back for more. Pairs well with the rice they serve. Ethiopian Chicken Stew- good soup, wouldn't necessarily call it a stew. It was well flavored and had a nice little kick. They put a lot of chicken in it, and it pairs well with the rice. Lobster and Crab Banana Bread Curry- OMG. MUST TRY. This is my favorite dish of the night and I'm so glad we ordered it. It's savory and sweet in the best way, and the sweet lobster lairs perfectly with the banana bread and the curry sauce. Never had anything like it, and it was AMAZING.
