Food is Just fine here. A lot of pastries to choose from. But it is pricey for just an average taste bread. There are a lot of pastries within solvang to choose from.

I wish we left with more! The traditional Danish kringle is a crowd favorite, and it's easy to understand why. The dough is light and flaky with pops of raisins and a perfect balance of sweet. Don't be intimidated by its size – it's so good, you'll wish you had more! Our favorite, though, was the cinnamon roll with pistachio! There was a custard filling, and goodness, it was delicious. On the first bite, my partner declared it the best cinnamon roll he's ever had! You'll be happy with anything from the bakery, though. The high-quality ingredients come through in every bite; nothing came across as too sweet or artificial. Olsen's Bakery has been a staple of Solvang for 56 years, and the long-running, family-operated charm is felt the moment you enter. They certainly bake with their heart and enjoy what they do. And a special thank you to Michele for all the help and suggestions. We went home with treats we wouldn't have tried normally and only wish we had more!

Every time I'm in the area I have to stop by and have some of their pastries. Of all the bakeries in Solvang, they are by far the best.

Wonderful danishes and eclaires and their coffee drinks were tasty too. Went back later for a bucket of cookies (excellent) and iced cinnamon swirl bread (on the dry side) to bring home.

Love this bakery. I been coming here for years. The bakery good are outstanding and the atmosphere is lovely. It’s always busy but a great place to have a pastry! Oh, the coffee is outstanding!! Try the cinnamon bread. They will slice it to your desire thickness. 😋
