We went to have a different breakfast experience, but all the patisserie products were of mediocre taste. You order self service and are served with very ordinary plates and forks. I regret not going to the pancake shop right next to it.

Quaint, lovely, nostalgic. Bucket of butter cookies still available. Dozens of pastry from which to choose. Beautiful shop with some tables outside as well as "dine-in."

Every pastry and cookie we bought was SO good! Fresh, kept well over a couple of days and wish we had bought more! The custard filled danishes are creamy, the apple danish is one of my favorites ever and the almond danishes were fantastic. They have quality chocolate that puts it over the top!

Lots of goodies to choose from. The bear claws are fantastic and so are the almond tarts and the napoleon. So many choices, that it was hard to choose.

I enjoyed a slice of German chocolate cake and chocolate chip cookie from here. Both were very good.

Overwhelming number of options, but very few savory options. They are sorely needed. I enjoyed the seven sisters pastry initially, but after 2 bites, it gets really cloying. The jalapeno rolls were good to cut the sweetness but not the best tasting on their own.

going on 3 decades of eating Olsen's Baked goods.
you can buy store bought items for less along with preservatives, etc... but if you want quality, dedication to customer satisfaction and appreciate the menagerie of fresh baked items to choose from? then Olsen's is the place to go , and if you can'
t visit locally? you can order online. NOTE: their order system is easy, order updates promptly posted and knowing you will receive the same quality as if walking in the bakery. (they ship promptly on certain days to insure fresh items are going out in every box. you won't be sorry. and their pay system is a secured pay service, and have had no problems in 4 years of ordering online.

Very similar to the bakery on the other side of town with one major difference. The bourbon chocolate balls. I have no idea what truly they were called, but by god, I have NEVER had a baked good THAT GOOD! I genuinely mean it when I say that was a rich & utterly divine experience. It's been a month & the flavor & texture of those morsels still haunts my mind, heart & tongue like a loving ghost of lovers past. I NEED those little black balls in my life again. Please don't ever change them! I will be back again for that which haunts me with love!

Great place to stop for a cup of coffee & fresh Danish pastries that remind me of Germany too. Nice break from the day after taking a hike around Cachuma Lake & strolling through the charming town of Solvang, before donating at Chumash Casino.
