Worst place ever we went here asked to be seated for 11 people the lady complained said 11 people it’s going to back up her kitchen I was disappointed if that’s the case then why have restaurant if going to complain about service such a horrible experience ever I don’t like stating anything on social media etc but I taught this was so rude and people should know how this place is they going to complain about service !

The service at Silk Road's Kitchen is piss poor. My family of five were seated in the back of the restaurant at fire pit seating. It was evening and cold with little heating provided so you must ask for the propane to be turned on. It was in fact turned on begrudgingly. If you know it is cold it is a safe bet to turn it on for customers. After our the initial orders, we were not attended to. Water is not served unless requested, with the choice being Smartwater or unfiltered. I am wondering what unfiltered water they serve, because tap water does have some standard filtration. The question properly stated is bottled or still. Attentiveness is not a strong suit, I had to ask twice for condiments - tzatziki and salad dressing. They needed because the gyro sandwich, burrito, and Greek salad were dry and bland. Don't order them, however if you do beware when you ask for seasoning for your food you will be charged $3 for a container of sauce. A $22 gyro and burrito should come standard with sauce in my opinion. I thought this place would be promising due to the location and promising local wine menu but unfortunately Luna Grill or Daphne's Greek would have even better and cheaper.

AGGRESSIVE and inadequate behavior from the “OWNER” lack of customer service.
Please DO NOT waist your time and money

There are proper ways to communicate a potential customers that you must purchase before using their restroom instead the owner complained about having to scrub toilets after his customers and locked the restroom in my face. I walked in tried purchasing from them but the owner immediately put up OUT OF SERVICE sign. Perfect example of how a business will eventually fail.

People please prepare yourself before becoming a business owner.

They were v kind to accommodate us in the busy schedule. However, the bread for the wraps were not toasted, cook. The taste of the wrap was pretty bland.

100% would never eat here again , they couldn’t even get my order correct , I ordered the gyro bowl and got the falafel bowl , when I told the server he said he’d heat up the gyro and bring it right out , 10 minutes later a different server bought me a chicken kebab , told him that wasn’t my order and my gyro never showed up after this .
So I tried to eat the falafel bowl but it was obviously frozen not fresh , salad looked a day old and I got a tiny teaspoon of hummus , some rice that tasted like packaged salty rice , awful meal .
My friend had the chicken bowl and it was tasteless chicken obviously packaged .
Glass of wine also tasted awful like it had come from an open bottle that been sitting out overnight .
When yet another server came over and asked if anything was ok , I said no ,I didn’t get the meal I ordered and what I did get was awful , she asked would you like a to go box !
She tried to tell me it was busy , the place opens at 12 and we arrived at 12 , there was only 1 other couple in the restaurant at the time we arrived . .
They refused to give me a discount for not getting what I ordered .
Do not waste your money at this establishment !

After seeing other reviews about how great the vegan food here is, we decided to try it. I'm not convinced that this place understands what vegan means though. My daughter and I ordered the vegan falafel wrap, but it arrived next to a salad with cheese on it. When I asked if the cheese was vegan, the response was that I didn't specify that I wanted it vegan. I don't know how I was supposed to order a vegan entree more vegan than I did. We also asked for more water and never got it. Other than not feeling entirely safe with the food, the service was friendly and nice. They did remake our salads extra big. My younger kids didn't like the food, but enjoyed the hot chocolate and fries.

The person serving told us that Falafel/Chicken wrap comes with Fries, or salad. So, we asked to bring salad/fries.
Later he billed us for these side dishes, saying he never said they come for free.

A 100% bad experience, and will never come back again!! I found some other customers shared similar poor experiences when I read the reviews.

What happened to us:
We tried to dine in for lunch around mid-afternoon, and waited for 30+ minutes not getting our food, which was only a salad and a wrap. We urged twice and it didn't seem to help. Since we were in a rush, we asked the waiters to pack the food togo instead, and they seemed not happy about it. In the following the waiter refused to give us an extra fork and they even packed the wrong food for us -- which we only found later. I don't think the owner is doing business with honesty so please be careful.

We were appalled by this particular restaurant’s unhygenic food and rude approach. Highly recommend going to other places instead in the square (there is a great Whiskey and Rye BBQ in the square!)

There is a parking lot behind the restaurant, where we found they converted some of the spaces into unhygenic food cooking place (in the parking lot!). The whole lot itself is designed to be used by patrons of the square (several shops), see picture.

BEWARE of this restaurant, see how they cook their food!!

Your owner/employee has no right to claim the square’s space as just the Silk road’s restaurant’s space — it is designed to be used by any patron of that square.

This restaurant’s owner and employee should have no business: (a) threatening patrons of that square (further videos exist), (b) claiming a space designed for that square as his restaurant’s or his personal space, (c) risking people’s life by cooking food in an unhygenic manner in a parking lot (and without using gloves).

As visitors of a restaurant, we are glad that review sites exist so others become aware of this.

We are glad how the video recording technology helps us all as tourists to protect ourselves and our family from a threatening, aggressive owner in unknown places.

Other reviews over the last several years also speak of this restaurant’s approach to customers and service.
