Back again! Heading back from Pollock Pines to the Bay Area via Somerset on Mt. Aukum then here on Grizzly Flat Road, I had to stop by our favorite brunch place but this time on a weekday so I could try their elusive and exclusive French Dip sandwich. The very nice waitress said that they just had Prime Rib night last night so I was in luck! The sandwich was tasty and the meat deliciously tender. Just the right seasoning for my tastes. Great family owned and run restaurant. We go regularly, dinner and brunch; never fails to please. Modestly priced, high quality, inventive and satisfying cuisine in a classical small roadhouse ambiance with super service. Good attention to detail and to customer preferences -- it's the kind of place you'd like a local bistro to be.

The food here is absolutely amazing!!!!! I had lemon thyme risotto with Scallops, my husband the Salmon. We had calamari for appetizer, and banana foster for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly. The scallops were so tender and fresh. The ambience was nice, and I thought the drink selection was great. They do have kids menus if you want to bring your kids.
