“Best wine tasting experience we have had in a very long time! We were greeted by two friendly beautiful family dogs. We met Marcos the owner's son and had a very wonderful conversation. The we went to the tasting room and we were treated with a very warm friendly smile from the daughter. She did an excellent job of explaining the different flight options. We sat down and began are tasting experience. The flight's were amazing between the whites and the reds, best varieties and flavors within the flight. The daughter timed it perfect and we never had to wait for our next tasting. She did an excellent job explaining the different wines and where they came from. In between pours provided great conversation and warm smiles. We then went over to the gazebo overlooking the area and enjoyed the best fire cooked pizza! The owner came over and talked to us and introduced us to his lovely wife. We enjoyed a great conversation. The owner share his hear and vision for the winery. He asked if we were taken care of and needed anything. Over all it was such a pleasant experience at a value you can't find anywhere else. The pricing options were excellent and the varieties we're out of this world! Let's just say there is a little piece of Italy in Somerset! Perfect ambiance and beautiful hosts! We definitely will be coming back and if you need to get away from it all and get a great value for your money..THIS IS THE GO TO! Thank you Mastroserio Winery, two thumbs up and 10 stars! “My husband and I go to Tahoe quiet a bit and on one of our trips came across hog wild bbq. We loved it so much they just catered our wedding! Mary from Hog Wild was amazing from the moment we first spoke to her. You could tell how much she cared about us as clients, her team, and her food! Our wedding guests could not stop talking about how amazing the food was (and loved that they gave hearty portions!) I cannot speak more highly of the whole Hog Wild team. They were kind, warm, and even chatted with my Dad about their bbq/smoking process (yes, my Dad is a bbq/smoking fan haha). Whether you need a caterer or just a great meal sometime, Hog Wild BBQ is the place! We'll definitely be stopping by on our next Tahoe trip!“

“We had a great visit to this winery. It's situated right off the road and the first thing you see was the dog sculpture.

Our host Mack did an incredible job with our wine tasting for our large group. We were seated outside and he led us through the tasting with funny stories and even brought out other wines for us to try. We learned a lot about the winery and the history of winemaking in Plymouth.
We even tried the wine slushy, which was delicious.

The charcuterie plate that accompanied our wine tasting was delicious and beautifully presented too.

There was only a small bar inside for seating so we were seated outdoors. I wish there were some shade or heat lamps. The big building was closed the day of our visit. There were lots of benches and seating outside but they were unprotected from the sun and wind so we were a bit cold.“

“My favorite winery in the area by a long shot. I love their wines, but the real key here is the people and place. The moment you walk through the door there is a different vibe. This is not a pretentious winery. It is one that you bring large groups to and let everyone enjoy themselves. Every wine tender you may get is easy going and fun to chat with.
The grounds are beautiful and it's easy to get an area to setup with a bottle and hangout outside. I have brought more people to this winery than literally any other and will continue to do so. Could not recommend enough.“

“One of the primary reasons we keep coming back to Amador for our annual visit is because of Rombauer. Their setting is very relaxing, their staff are all friendly and amazing and they have the best Chardonnay on the planet. I don't seek out any white wines but one, and it's the Rombauer Chard. This year we opted for the 2019 over the current release due to the extra years, palate profile and price point. Next year, that 2023 will be just about right and we'll be sure to take some home. I didn't plan on any other bottles but this year's Zin was on point. Can't say enough about this great winery, and when I'm pouring in our own tasting room in WA, I mention Rombauer often. If you don't drop in for a visit during your wine tasting tour of Amador, you're doing it wrong. :)“

“My husband and I were craving Chinese food so we headed up to Placerville to try the restaurant on Placerville Dr only to find out it was closed due to damage from a car. So we googled other locations close by and ended up at Grand China. We've lived in EDC for years and never knew that it was even there. Since this is on the back side of the shopping center and can be easily missed. I have to say the food was excellent, it was so tasty and light, not greasy at all like many other restaurants! The owner and wait staff were so nice, the atmosphere was great too. The portions were generous and I was actually so happy that we had leftovers to take home and enjoy again.We'll definitely be back to this hidden treasure behind Mickey D's!! ?“

They went out of their way to prepare my order, as I’m allergic to some foods, and it was all done with a smile. The entire group was very happy with their meals, and the food is excellent. If I had anything that I would say wasn’t my favorite it would be the beer cheese dip that came with our garlic bread( bread was great). “The last visit was the end of 21. We decided to try again, and am I glad we did! Friendly lady answered the phone, took my to go order. We ordered egg rolls(which were really spring rolls), pot stickers that were stuffed full and very delicious, bbq pork chow mein(noodles were more like chow fun), honey walnut prawns that were absolutely delicious, sweet and sour pork absolutely delicious, and chicken with string beans which was absolutely amazing! I am sure we have enough leftovers for a few more meals!
We will go again, absolutely will be our go to place for amazing homemade chinese food“

“This winery is one of the best! We visited for a wine tasting and the gentleman was so informative about the wines and how they are harvested, we couldn’t get enough of his knowledge! The wines, all six, that we selected on our own were excellent! We will probably join the club when we get home! Also, there is a picnic area that you can purchase a charcuterie board or cheese and crackers, spreads and dips to sit down and enjoy with your bottle of wine! It’s fantastic!“

“I found this Take out restaurant from an article in The Sacramento Bee. Timmy's is not easy to find, but well worth the effort, It is located in a small complex on Main Street in Placerville near the Court House. The menu is very eclectic. I had the spicy prawn sandwich with a side of tater tots. Both were made fresh and served in a timely manner. The sandwich was flavorful and not overly spicy. The staff was informative and helpful. The prices were a bit high but well worth it for the quality.“
