“I brought six other friends from Santa Barbara on a wine trip to Amador/Fairplay wine region. we had wonderful time at Ruggero’s Mastroserio Winery. so many great wines to choose from. among them the Petit Syrah and Teroldego were two of my favorites.“

“We’ve visited many wineries in the region and this is the new favorite, hands down. From sparkling to intense reds, all were amazing and we left with several bottles. Super reasonable tasting fees. Great wine insight and stories from the owners. Joined the wine club and will be back soon.“

“Lots of great Mexican restaurants around but if you want a nice sit down and chat atmosphere then this is the place in Diamond Springs. We've been here several times and we're new to the area. Never been disappointed.

“This place is so wonderful. Their food is amazing, especially the baked mussels. I bring kids and their patio is perfect for a family situation. They pepper the kids with little treats and are so kind and patient with families. But they also offer a very serene setting inside. We will support this restaurant forever. “Everything delivered. The staff are all knowledgeable and inviting, the location is easily accessible and the wine and it's history are amazing. I drove from Sac (Abt an hr) and spent a good part of the day in the shade enjoying a flight and being doted on by a few gracious women. Will definitely be back soon.“

“PROS: Food was fantastic! We had the chili dog and prime rib sandwich. Onion rings were on point and even my picky eaters couldn't get enough of the potato salad.
CONS: It took 20 minutes to get our order taken after sitting down and another almost hour to get our order. The staff was very nice but if you aren't prepared for an hour and a half plus dining experience this is not the stop to go.
OVERALL: The historical factor with the quality of taste of food makes this a worth while stop on your high country adventure.“

“We had an amazing experience at Golden Dragon! The food was absolutely delicious — the Mongolian beef was excellent, the honey walnut shrimp was fabulous, and the garlic string beans (which I normally don’t even like) were a hit with everyone else. The orange chicken was great, the veggie chow fun was awesome, and the egg drop soup was to die for. Highly recommend this place — everything we tried was full of flavor and cooked perfectly!“

“This winery is one of the best! We visited for a wine tasting and the gentleman was so informative about the wines and how they are harvested, we couldn’t get enough of his knowledge! The wines, all six, that we selected on our own were excellent! We will probably join the club when we get home! Also, there is a picnic area that you can purchase a charcuterie board or cheese and crackers, spreads and dips to sit down and enjoy with your bottle of wine! It’s fantastic!“

“This place continues to go downhill in my opinion. We have been going there for years. But the last year we have stopped going much at all because the service is very hit and miss. A few good servers here and there. The food had also started to be not as good. We decided to try it again and for me this is probably the last time. The serving size for the price is pitiful. Especially the ridiculously small kids pizza for $12. It was burnt on the bottom besides. The garden sandwich sounded very good but was pitiful and served on a dry bun. The service was adequate but not friendly. Just disappointing again. This used to be one of my favorite places.“

The rangoons were nice and crispy, honey walnut shrimp was perfectly cooked and delicious, hot and sour soup was pleasantly spicy, and the cashew chicken and General chicken we had were also very tasty! Large portions, even for the combo meals. So glad we stopped here for dinner!“

“My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with warm personal service. We had a nice view of the Main street in Placerville from our second floor overlook table. Great food, excellent service and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend the strawberry Panna cotta with chocolate mousse for dessert. Great personal service from the owner!! Very friendly. “I drive by this place a ton of times. Kinda forgetting that Pizza Plus is tucked inside a small shopping complex on Missouri Flat Road, south of Highway 50, in Placerville. The pizzas are pretty darn good.

The pizzas are oven baked with fresh, quality fixings. Mmm. Simple, classic pizzas done right. The staff are the best. Friendly, helpful. They have a couple of dining areas. The place is kept super clean. No frills. Comfortable. It's locally owned by the same original owner for over 30 years. That's a testament right there.“

“Today was my third or fourth visit to Starfield Vineyards. I missed their custom of greeting you with a glass of sparkling when you enter their tasting room. I was also disappointed to hear that the kitchen had been closed as a recall, how incredible our meals were in the past.
That being said, atmosphere, environment and views cannot be beaten. I love that there’s walking paths to explore their vineyards, and of the lake with the lily pads.
We enjoyed the charcuterie plate however were charged extra when we asked to add the Manchego cheese which we’d had on the last visit. Joe was our server and he seemed well educated with all the wines. My favorite wine of the pouring was Big Canyon.
When we reached the lake we learned it was National Grenache Day (who knew?) so were each poured a nice taste of their Grenache.“

“Staff is great, pizza is fresh and delicious. I have been twice on this work trip. I LOVED the parmasean garlic wings. They did make my 24 cnt wings slightly incorrectly but they fixed it before i left with no issue. Patio is dog friendly and they can provide a little tin for water of needed.

If you're on a work trip, real nice to go to while doing laundry next door.“
