Being Brazilian of Portuguese descent and a good cook, my expectations were managed. I didn't check reviews or saw photos but took a look at their menu outside and had to try their Portuguese dishes. The cod fritters bolinhos de bacalhau were authentic and delicious. It's hard to make them and find descent salted cod. The wine flights, white port wine, desserts and the whole dining experience were fantastic. These days most restaurants are very expensive with mediocre or just ok food. La Salette made me believe in great food again. The flavors kept building up and surprised us. We're coming back soon.

Their pulled pork sandwich is reason enough for me to go way out of my way to eat at LaSalette a second time; it consisted of huge helpings of delicious pulled pork served in a very tasty bun. Their grilled sardines appetizer was also terrific. Our waitress and male server were kind, attentive and helpful. Wow, so many reasons for me to be excited about our experience at LaSalette today! Can't wait to eat there again.

Excellent restaurant. We highly recommend it. My wife had the traditional Portugal dish which was tasty and filling. I had the salted cod with potatoes. Delicious The appetizer of scallops, Japanese sweet potatoes and onions was unique to us. We'd order it again (and again). Service was attentive

I love their service and food. They are always on a spot!! the only thing that we didn't like at this time was the noise level. two of tables around our seats were very laud and disturbing. understood that the restaurant servers could not control customers, and it was unfortunate.

I love this place I rediscovered it recently and have been back 3 times. They give you a amuse bouche, who does that anymore and it's marvellous highly recommend and I consider myself a foodie big time.!

Perfect!! The food is scrumptious and excellently prepared and served. It was our anniversary. The server immediately brought 2 luscious glasses of superb Portuguese brut champagne. And, it was the most expensive one on the menu!! I ordered another glass. We had most splendid time. Thank you so much LaSalette Restaurant!

La Salette is my favorite restaurant in Sonoma. I almost always get the fisherman's stew especially in the winter. This time we ordered 4 starters instead of a main. I loved the sardine's but everything was excellent. The wine selection is also fun. I find it most interesting to try the Portugese selections.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. The food is BEYOND good. The seafood was fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly balance flavors. The grill octopus was one the best I hav ever had. The sardine was HUGE, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Seafood is always a bit tricky and can sometimes come out too undercooked or overcooked (and rubbery) - not here. Every dish that came out was perfectly cooked. Perfect temperature and delicately season so that you TASTE the freshness of the seafood and not masked by strong seasoning. HUGE COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF. THIS is seafood done correctly. The service was very attentive and friendly. Beautiful restaurant. I’d come back here again and bring friends here for a special celebration.

For past 10 years we have driven 30-45 minutes 3 Sundays a month for lunch/brunch in different towns in Napa and Sonoma Valleys. LaSalette is on our “short list” of about 25 restaurants. They continue to exceed our expectations for menu, service , presentation, and overall quality of a dining experience. Yesterday, we greatly enjoyed a shared beet salad to start and each had Paella. ??????

Recommended by a local winery after we returned from Portugal . We return here every time we are in Sonoma. The food is very good, beautifully presented, but most impressive - the wait staff is well trained and treat you like you are the most important customer they have ever had.

Wonderful food as always... but cranked dining room and loud! Rattled our nerves. Server was lovely and attentive, though... won't go back until summer when we can dine on the charming, quieter patio.

Food, atmosphere, and service were mostly awesome. Bus staff needs more training. Very polite but would take one plate and leave the rest of the table unkept. Corkage charge at $30 is ludicrous. In wine country!? The rest of the meal was awesome. Scallops were the best app Ive had in a long time. Portugese pot roast was cooked to perfection, though slightly too salty. Fishermans stew was so spot on that we drank up every last drop of the broth. Excellent use of acid in the scallops, pork belly app, and stew. There was a perfect brightness to these dishes. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and thorough. Desert was ok. The chocolate mousse not terribly impressive but the almond cookie helped tie the ice cream to the mouse in a great way. We will be back for sure to try some of the other dishes which honestly were very hard to decide on as there are some great options.
