Great lunch, however there was a group of ladies (maybe 6 of them) making a lot of noise next to us, and the acoustics are not great. We had a hard time making quiet conversation. For and drink were fine though.

One of the best restaurants on the plaza. The service is great and so are the food and drinks. It's nice to enjoy a meal in a less pretentious environment, which is hard to find on this plaza.

The service and atmosphere are nice but the rice and beans are horrible. Rice taste like it came straight out of a box and the beans are over blended and have zero flavor. The price of the food doesn’t match the quality.

Service was as expected every friendly staff. Salsa and chips were given when seated salsas were very bland. Prawn enchiladas 5/10, the rice was flavorless pritty much white rice, for $24 a very small portion it could of also came with some beans in my opinion. My Wife had the mixed grill plate, the asada 6/10, chicken was 5/10, mole was very chocolaty. Nothing we tryed had a hit of spiceness. I Should of known the food was OK by the lack of people in the restaurant during rush hour. Would not recommend to people that like traditional Mexican food flavors.

Parking: There is a lot of parking but most parking spots will be taken do to it being a high traffic area

Kid-friendliness: My kids were being 4 year old kids less table manners that adults restaurant staff was every accommodating to there needs and small mess

From the moment the tortilla chips and salsa hit my taste buds, I knew what kind of experience was coming. The chips were bland, and the two salsas, red and green, were equally flavorless. Hoping to switch things up, I tried the guacamole, but it was disappointing as well. I ordered the “Giant Burrito,” which the menu claims is too big to just be called a burrito. Let me tell you, there was nothing giant about it except its giant disappointment in flavor.

After a six-hour drive with nothing to eat all day, this place was a letdown. I’m only giving two stars instead of one because, despite the blandness, the food was at least edible (maybe because I was starving), and the staff was friendly.

Really nice service and good food! Everything was delicious and felt like a good value. Even though we didn’t finish up until an hour after close our server asked us if we wanted another drink! Will be returning again.

Service was good. Food and cocktails lacked the flavor I imagined. A little overpriced for the quality and portions served

Not bad but not the best Mexican food in the area. The other local options kill it by comparison

Food was nothing special. Not much spice. Acoustics were terrible, making it difficult to have a conversation. The staff was pleasant.

I enjoyed chips and guacamole and carnitas tacos, which were tasty, and the carnitas was nice and moist.

Flavorless fish tacos. Whole meal needed seasoning. Charged $3.50 for chips and salsa ?. Limited menu, lots of heavy dishes.

My husband and I were visiting friends in Sonoma and they invited us to join them at Maya's. Our friends love this place and I definitely see why, the food, service, drinks, everything was great. They were quick to seat us, they were friendly and the dining area was nice. We were there doing the peak dinner hour and it was packed, however, they were quick. The dining area appeared small but I noticed they were able to accommodate a fairly large party. The restaurant has a casual and comfortable atmosphere..

The food tasted quite authentic. I decided to order the Panucho which consisted of a tortilla stuffed with black beans, your choice of steak, chicken, cochinitas or veggies, I decided on steak. It was topped with cabbage and it included guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. I highly recommend it. They made a really good tequila drink, definitely, enjoyed that!! My husband had the Grande Burro, it was a pretty good size burrito and he gave it a thumbs up.

We plan to return when on our next visit.

A solidly good Mexican restaurant in the town square of Sonoma. They serve a large and tasty burrito which will fill you for the rest of the day.
