Arrived at 1pm for lunch on Friday afternoon on Halloween. Restaurant was almost empty and remained so. Service was attentive and friendly but there was no one else there. I liked the ambiance . I think I may save my critique for a later visit.

The shrimp and grits is always a favorite as is the butterscotch pot de creme. We prefer to dine outside as it can get loud inside on a busy night. The waitstaff is always courteous and accommodating. Oso is a go to for us.

Most of the people were at the bar when we arrived on a Thursday (Happy Hour) We were seated quickly even though our reservation was for 30 minutes in the future (lots of tables available). The menu had something for everyone beef, chicken, shrimp, risotto, and pork. The braised pork was very tender and I love navy beans so... My husband got the Bavette seared steak with potatoes, delicious. The meal took a little longer to come than I expected (what do I know, my locals include our favorite Chinese and Mexican restaurants) but our deviled eggs with Dungeness crab sustained us and we were out the door in an hour after a very leisurely meal. We were visiting Sonoma from Santa Rosa for a meeting and enjoyed walking around the Plaza, checking out the other eateries lights, forgoing the ice cream store and saying hi to General Vallejo, one of my favorite Californios (his seated bronze).

We had such a wonderful time at OSO during our early Saturday dinner! The outdoor seating ambiance was peaceful and relaxing, setting the perfect tone for the evening. Service was excellent—our server was friendly, attentive, and very professional. This was my second visit and my friend's first, and they absolutely loved it. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and beautifully prepared. Overall, an amazing experience. I'll definitely be bringing more friends next time!

We didn’t have reservations but even at 7pm in a Friday night, they were able to get us in. It was delicious! Our server was great too. We loved the Deviled Eggs, Caprese Salad and several of us got the Sautéed Broccoloni with Shrimp. It was all wonderful. It was an excellent find!
