I had chicken mole enchiladas with pureed black beans and rice. This is mole made from scratch, not from a jar like at some other Mexican restaurants. The black beans look like the mole. Your taste buds tell you which is which. They got the rice right; I ate it in spite if the fact that I usually don't eat rice. Now let's talk about the "agua de jamaica." This is hibiscus water. Hibiscus are red flowers that get brewed in hot water. Add sugar and chill it. (You can make this at home. It's the bomb in summertime.) Sonoma Eats is more restrained when adding sugar than all other taquerias I've tried. The result is a delicious drink that complements the food, and you don't have to worry about getting diabetes from it. My current favorite are the mushroom enchiladas. I have them twice per month! I'll force myself to get some carnitas tacos...some day.
I love Sonoma Eats's fish tacos, tinga tostadas, and its gorditas. If you're Mexican, you don't want to miss these 3 items.

This place is a hidden gem! We were looking for Mexican food and happened to walk into this place. The staff was super friendly and helped us pick food - and it was super yummy! The kids enjoyed their quesadillas and us adults loved the chicken enchiladas. I have had a lot of Mexican food in my life and this was definitely one of the best places I've been!

I have tried them all and the best tacos in Wine Country can be found at Sonoma Eats Real Mexican Food. The fish tacos in blue corn tortillas are out of this world tasty. The shrimp or birria tacos are also stellar. The chicken and mole enchiladas are amazing. Get the freshly made guacamole and hummus made with toasted pumpkin seeds. You can also buy take-and-bake items and large family packs. We love the excellent service, mouthwatering sangria and the sunny dog-friendly patio.

Sonoma Eats has the best Mexican food in Sonoma. The food is amazing and well-plated (I've had the tacos, sopes and gorditas), the ingredients are fresh, and the staff is friendly. The food is just as good as El Molino (which I'm also a fan of), but with no line and at significantly lower prices. They have a cute patio with cafe lights, too.

New little place a few block away from El Molino. Owner runs the whole business. Back, front, cashier. They have a little backyard. Food was great. Service was awesome.

Great food - super rude service. What a bummer. Just hateful toward our children and immediately rolled his eyes any time our kids moved or touched something. Accused us of messing up the bathroom as we departed. Quite appalling.
The food here is really, really good; the owner is the chef and very friendly and you can tell he just loves what he does. This was a popular "taco truck" for a few years in town and he now has this permanent location with pretty outdoor seating and to-go orders. I think they also serve wine and beer.

Sonoma Eats is a hidden gem. Service is always friendly and efficient. Food is delicious, using quality ingredients and is made to order. They also offer catering services and family meals Togo. Today I had the potato tacos. Soft and creamy potato filling wrapped in a perfectly crispy corn tortilla. 4 pieces per order. Restaurant is clean and parking is easy. I will be back again soon!

Had the Birria slow marinated tacos. They were amazing!!! Best Taco's I have ever had. Tons of meat, bold smoky and spicy but not overpowering flavor, the taco was warm and crisp on the outside and every bite was well balanced and enjoyable.

We love the food from Sonoma Eats. Fresh, delicious and always great service. We recently called in an order (last minute for 15 lunches and they totally and completely accommodated all of our the special requests). They may make the best guacamole in Sonoma! Enjoy the out side patio too, dog friendly too in the patio! Enjoy.
