A Huevo que Si Mexican Brunch

This place has great dishes and very delicious food, except for a couple of items, 1. the eggcellent burrito, it did not come with ham at all, they put sliced hotdogs. 2. The a huevo omelet did not have any chorizo. Also this is the first time I encounter a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. Do they offer a discount for paying cash? not at all. Other than that I would recommend this place with a warning of the extra charges.

El Chingon delivered a knockout lineup that had me grinning from first bite to final sip. The 6 oz New York steak was juicy perfection—charred just right with melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. That birria burrito? A cheesy, saucy, slow-braised dream wrapped in a tortilla hug.

The horchata latte was a genius twist—creamy, cinnamon-kissed, and surprisingly refreshing. And the mimosa flight? A bubbly burst of citrusy joy that made brunch feel like a celebration.

EGGcellent BRUNCH in the San Gabriel Valley! A Huevo que Si Mexican Brunch in South El Monte is a vibrant MUST TRY brunch spot! This brunch spot is a local favorite and I can see why.

With a beautiful mural and fun decor, there’s plenty of photo opps that’s instagram worthy!!

I rarely leave reviews, but after brunching here, I just had to share how incredible our experience was and a HUGE part of that was thanks to our server, Jazmin. From the moment we sat down, Jazmin made us feel so welcome, like we were regulars even though it was our first time. She was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared that everything was perfect for us. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows! Jazmin walked us through the menu, made great recommendations, and even checked in with us just the right amount, never rushed, never absent. We will definitely be coming back and when we do, we’ll be asking for Jazmin! If you’re planning to visit, do yourself a favor and hope you get seated in her section. She truly made our brunch special.

This place was such a pleasant surprise! The food was beyond amazing — you can really taste the care and skill the chef put into every dish. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor.

Amazing experience from start to finish! The service was fast, and the ambience was warm and welcoming. Jazmin and Madeline were both incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.

Big shoutout to the chef — the food was absolutely incredible! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they take pride in what they do.

Absolutely terrible experience. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was just ridiculous. Heaven, Jasmine, and Caroline were the staff that “served” our table — and I say that loosely, because the service was downright awful. They seemed disorganized, inattentive, and uninterested in helping.

The food was already slow to come out, but the worst part? They brought my tortillas after I had already finished my entire meal. What’s the point of tortillas when the food’s gone?! No apology, no urgency, just blank stares and attitude. It felt like they were doing us a favor just by being there.

If this is the standard of service they provide, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money — there are plenty of better spots where the staff actually care about doing their job.

Was very excited to try this spot and was hesitant due to the negative reviews and rating . I drove 28 miles to try this spot and was eager to try the chilaquiles per server recommendation as they were “not spicy and mild”. I added meats and was willing to pay more for the split taste of green sauce and mole. To my surprise, they were extremely spicy and I could hardly take a third bite- and I have chilaquiles before and enjoyed them very much. I explained the situation to my server and told her that the level of spice was too much and this would irritate my stomach if I even tried to finish. I was met with resistance stating that they wouldn’t change it because the manager wasn’t there . That if i wanted something else I had to pay for both meals. She then stated that she would ask the cook for an exception which she later said he would do. I got simple scrambled eggs with avocado and pico de gallo . When reviewing my receipt I was charged for the chilaquiles with all the extra items. It was unclear what she meant by “the cook will make an exception “, and when I asked about why they wouldn’t take back the food I could genuinely not finish she then changed to “that’s our restaurant policy”. Unfortunately the experience was disappointing and unsatisfying. Will not be returning here which is a shame as there were more items I would’ve liked to try and the staff was kind …customer satisfaction goes a long way. Pay attention to the low ratings…

The food was delicious, but the service was slow and un-attentive. I want a hot mocha latte, and they gave it to me iced. I still drink it all. It was delicious, but I finished it really quick. I was waiting for her to ask me if I wanted another one Or something else but they just took my cup away and gave me water. I’m a sucker for being upsold, but they didn’t try at all. I felt like They were focused on quantity of people and tables they can Turnover.

Don't waste your money and time here. The food was MID and overpriced and they pre charge the tip.LAME 👎 >:(

I really appreciated the beautiful presentation of the food, and there was so much potential for a great meal! Unfortunately, I didn’t receive my order as expected, which was a bit disappointing. The parking situation was a little tricky since it’s shared with two other spots, one being another restaurant. I did notice that the service was slower than I hoped, and it would have been great to have more follow-ups, especially for things like water refills. That said, the decor is absolutely lovely, and the atmosphere is quite nice. With a bit of focus on enhancing the service, this place could be truly amazing!

I can’t comment on the food because the service was so bad we had to leave. We waited for over 30 mins for the waitress to only bring me my iced coffee. We had asked for cups of water but they never brought it out. We were placed inside but asked to move outside because there was no AC, it was horrible. Once we moved outside staff did not once come to check in on us. The rest of my party ordered soda and you would think that , that would come out before the iced coffee but nope they never got their drinks. The staff looked very unorganized, the hostess said they were swamped but there were many empty tables, so i don’t know what that was about. I literally had to call someone over to take our order because we were sitting there for a while. Definitely do not recommend.
