A tremendously cute little hole in the wall dim sum place. As mentioned previously, this is not a big restaurant where food is brought out: you order at the counter and they bring out food piping hot and freshly steamed. That said, each dish was big restaurant quality and they were even nice enough to let us eat at their sole table there. The dumplings were balanced and well seasoned, and the pastries were tasty (not too sweet!) and well baked. Would absolutely go again.

Great for a quick takeout of dim sum. Go to the sit down restaurants in SGV if you're wanting quality. Price is good.

Super awesome to see more Asian food in South El Monte. South El Monte is blooming and growing center for Asian and AAPI businesses since the community has affordable real estate, accessibility, and world class high school education that can promote students going to Stanford, Harvard, MIT Engineering programs. Since Asian parents love seeing their children reach Ivy League levels and programs, there have been so many businesses starting up from boba stores to dim sum and I hope in the future, Korean Fried Chicken and more. I enjoy having a spot in the community that I can go to and enjoy dim sum options as Hong Kong (HK) style egg tarts and more. There is also a new Vietnamese and Thai restaurant in the community that took over some old failing businesses in the region. The high school boasts having Japanese and Mandarin Chinese language education which is an interest and incentive for people and nearby Asian households to move over to South El Monte.

This is a carry out place, not a sit-down restaurant. Dim sum portions are bigger than most other dim sum places, shrimp dumpling and shu mai are very tasty. Overall food is not too salty.

Excellent Jin dui & hom siu gok. Crispy on outside & chewy on the inside. Great ha gow, baked bao & steamed white sugar cakes. Reasonably priced. Primarily take out with 1 table. But would definitely go again.
We tried this place because they opened early and was disappointed. All the food we ordered was ok. If you want a better quality dim sum, I recommend trying another place.
Great place to pick up Dim Sum to go!
