Nice So. Lake Tahoe location. On main strip away from traffic. Friendly efficient staff. Had an Asiago Breakfast Bagel that was delicious! Came with egg, cheese, and avocado. Paired with a Toasted Marshmallow Latte with 1/2 the syrup. It was perfect. Coffee had a nice bold flavor without being bitter. Will definitely go again next time I'm in Tahoe.

I am a local here in Tahoe. I've always loved your coffee and took my visiting Mom into your store yesterday at around 10:45am. I'd never go back with how we were treated by your barista.

We bought beans, coffee and tipped the girl working.

My Mom's coffee (Cortada) was too strong so she came back in to ask for ice and some more cream. I was shocked to see the barista charging my Mom additional money. My Mom tipped her again..

I then figured out she charged my Mom $2 for a cup of ice with cream...after we spent $30 already. When I asked the Barista about this, she was extremely rude and giving off an attitude like I was being petty for asking about $2. She was totally ungrateful for both sets of tips as well.

I asked for a water before all of this as well. She gave no ice, no lid...just didn't care really at all.

There were no seat covers in the bathroom.

Unfortunate to tell my Mom great things about your business, yet we walk in and catch an attitude and are overcharged.

Not a breakfast spot but if you want to get a coffee great place to spot whether to sit in or take it go. Def recommend.

Their new expansion is amazing! Same spot but more space- and its still the best coffee in Tahoe! Only one person working with plenty of folks there and I was in and out in 5 minutes! Thank you guys!

I got the matcha cloud drink with some coconut foam on top- delicious! So many unique & tasty-sounding flavor options on the menu like the option of adding pine or sage syrup to your coffee. I’d love to come back and try other things. I was also sad that I’d already eaten lunch because the food menu looked good as well. Would come back & recommend to someone looking for a quality drink stop/cafe, especially if interested in matcha as there were a lot of matcha options. Cafe was empty when I went around 1pm on a Sunday but environment was great- lots of light & seating, cute plants & trinkets, cushiony couch.

Coffee was good, giving it my 3 star rating. I ordered the avocado toast with a poached egg and instead I got a sandwich with cheese and a scrambled egg. There was one lady working the cash register, coffee and making food. She was in a terrible mood because of it and not friendly at all. I ordered a decaf because I’m nursing and I confirmed it was decaf after she made it like I always do and she said “you didn’t say decaf”. I definitely said decaf. Second time she didn’t hear what I said while ordering so I know it wasn’t me. Coffee was good enough to give it three stars though.

Bare roots is the best coffee in town. Highly recommend the Maui Wowie and picking up a loaf of their locally baked sourdough. Racquel and the team are the best, go see them!

I got in, for 2 minutes I stood at the counter and the lady who makes coffee is 3 feet away and would not make a sound or recognize that I am waiting, not a “I will be right there with you”. I was standing feeling awkward I almost left but I still waited. Once she is finally done, uttered 3 words. It feels so weird. 8 dollar cappuccino and a bad service. Never coming back.
