Super loud music. Luckily I had my new iPod pro’s with noise cancellation. Ahhh… but I’m an old dude. Maybe for the younger crowd it would be ok. Prices are a little on the high side, but portions were generous.

Food was okay, but I've had better elsewhere, especially for the price. The facilities are clean, music is too loud and you have to pass by where they put the musicians to go into the bathroom. Service from staff was good though.

We went here for an early dinner and ordered the following:
Chicken and Rib Plate
Pulled Pork Plate
Total: $57.94 + Tips

While we didn’t wait long, we thought that the pulled pork did not so much flavour from the meat itself the same for the rib. The chicken had more flavour than the two but it can be too overpowering. And a good portion for each meal we ordered.

Overall, we were okay with the food, service, and atmosphere.

So, for those who reviewed this place as a hole-in-the-wall, they must be used to 5-star dining. We came here because our usual place was closed for remodeling. I'm not sure why they call it 'Chicken in a Barrel.' The chicken certainly was not cooked in a barrel. We got the sampler plate, which had chicken, ribs, beef, and pulled pork. I will start with the good. The chili was pretty good. The pulled pork was good. The beef was ok. The ribs were not as good as they looked but were ok if you drowned them with sauce. The chicken was dry and was not very satisfying. If you get the cornbread make sure you ask them to heat it up and use plenty of butter and honey to moisten it up. Now I had the hibiscus cider at 8.5% alc. which was the best thing I had there from the menu. We only ate 2/3 of the meal because it was not very enjoyable. But I will say my dog loved it.

Amazing bbq and service!! The waiters were very kind and hospitable, and the food came out really quickly. They smoke all their meats in house and make their sides fresh. Their chicken and ribs were particularly smokey and tender. Would recommend eating those with their spicy bbq sauce, and you can’t skip out on their fries!

We stopped here on the way home from Reno. Everything was great. The food came out super quick. We got a sampler and corn bread. The meats were tender and tasted awesome. The mac-salad was good.
