It was our first time here and we were so impressed by the menu! Lots of great options and there’s something for everyone. We had a reservation and were quickly seated. I was pleasantly surprised to see a high chair, kids water cup and wikki stix waiting for our toddler. So thoughtful!
We started with a beer flight and were delighted by the variety of flavors from the Holla Back Heff to the Oktoberfest to the Mexican Chocolate Stout. Of course we had to have an IPA in there too, which was also really tasty!
For an appetizer, we shared the Elote dip which had great flavor and was big enough to share at a table for four. It was the perfect starter to our meal.
I ordered the shoyu ramen with pork belly and was impressed by all the fresh veggies it came with! My almost two year old toddler also loved munching on the julienne carrots and noodles that were cooked to perfection. There was lots of depth to the broth and the pork belly had a nice smokiness that was really delicious!
My husband got the fish and chips, which was a large portion of delicious beer battered rock cod and plenty of crispy fries (which helps when others at the table want to share your meal!). He also ordered a ski bum sour cocktail, made with milk wash bulleit, spiced apple simple syrup, lemon and nutmeg - which was flavorful and the right combination of sweet and sour.
We also ordered the chicken tendys for our son and had enough left over to pack for his lunch the next day.
For dessert, we had the chocolate cheesecake and key-lime pie. Both were yummy and felt like the perfect way to end our meal.
Overall, we loved ambiance of the restaurant and the service was exceptional. Definitely a family friendly atmosphere and will surely be our new go-to spot when in Tahoe.

We had a group of 11 come in with only 10 minutes heads up. Tyler and the staff were able to get us seated easily and were super accommodating. Food was great and so were the drinks. Definitely recommend Cold Water!

Tasty food and the beer we tried was good too, the sour one. I forget the name already. The chicken sandwich was amazing, and my dining companion lived his barbecue burger. Price seemed really high ($23 for chicken sandwich and $23 for a burger) and there is an additional charge for your credit card, at least they tell you in advance. Food and service were both excellent. Atmosphere was average for a place like this.

Tyler is the best! Very attentive to customer needs, and is always friendly.
This place has the best fish and chips!
Also, the tartar is made in-house and is awesome!

Delicious food!!!!
We got there, 15 people without reservation. They organized an area for us, the food was super yummy, the service very friendly and fast. We just loved stopping at this place.

Our experience was just so underwhelming. The food choices were pretty tasteless and disappointing- especially for the price. I get that maybe this pricing is standard for Tahoe but I expect to walk away satisfied…. Not mad that I even bothered to try this establishment. The beer was unimpressive and the atmosphere was very weird compared to other brewpubs. Definitely skipping this place whenever I’m back in Tahoe.

Atmosphere was modern/ high end. The bartender Megan was really nice, and made a perfect drink. Limited menu, so if you come here look at the menu first. The salad I got was well assembled, fresh and evenly dressed. Nice place feels a little bit more surgical due to the fact that it’s portraying a higher end restaurant but that’s just me being a middle class whitey.

Visited Cold Water Brewery and Grill for the first time on vacation from Florida last week. Overall good place if you're looking for a burger and beer type joint. My husband ordered the Truffle Burger the Aguas Frias (lite) pint. Both were 10/10. I ordered the salmon and it was under cooked so I would not recommend it. Nothing special about it especially for the price. I also ordered the one glass of Cabernet they had on the menu and it was underwhelming. Cheap wine glass too (my fellow winos will understand). We had Theresa for our waitress. She was pleasant. They also charge a CC convenience fee just an FYI. They also close at 9pm so keep that in mind. Worth a visit for a burger and beer.
