Great American Cookies

Came in abt an hour before closing and they were completely out of cookie cake and several cookies. We got a section of the cookies they had and some of them had been burned. Also prices were pretty high, it was a little over 6$ for a single scope of chocolate ice cream. The people working there were friendly enough and it was clean inside.

Stale and hard cookies, tasted old. Minimal ice cream selections. Horrible. Go somewhere else. Also, employees seemed to hate their life. I hated my life also after eating these cookies.

This place is awesome, came in at the start of my Tahoe trip, did not disappoint, great cookie selection, I ordered a cookie ice cream sandwhich and they let you choose each cookie and ice cream you want, place was so good I went again before I left! Will definitely be back here when I visit again

We tried the red velvet and pecan chocolate chip cookies, but they were too hard, like eating hard sugar. We expected them to be fresh and soft-baked, not stale. Not good! We do not recommend it.

We came across this shop while walking around The Shops at Heavenly Village. We came to Lake Tahoe with our big family group in Sept 2025 so this review is a little late.

The cookies were soft, chewy and delicious!! A little too sweet though. When we arrived, the cookie glass case wasn’t too full. I like that have a variety of cookies and brownies.

hand us our bags, in the rush of leaving with four kids we did not double check and not all items were placed in the bags that were handed to us.

Edit: We were able to get ahold of the store and they acknowledged that one of our items were left behind and gave us a refund. Changed rating to 3-star for the resolution to the issue.

Ice cream cookie was amazing. Coffee was surprisingly very good. Friendly staff, clean restroom. Always enjoy this classic place. Not cheap.

BEST cookies ever! We were originally going to baked bear but stumbled here and decided to give it a try. Best decision of my life. Their hot chocolate is delicious and creamy and the cookies are even better.☺️ The ladies working there are also extremely friendly and nice, definitely was the cherry on top. Deffo stop by if you can!
