The smell is enough to intise you. We started with blue cheese stuffed dirty martini. Next is the mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts, scallop and risotto! Okay Gordon lets see what you taught!

We eat hear all the time in the winter when we are in Lake Tahoe, the escargot, the steaks, the wine and the service are all amazing. My wife and I usually get the same thing every time, the steak is always cooked perfectly and goes great with red wine. This is a classic Lake Tahoe restaurant my parents used to bring me to when I was kid so it’s nice to share with others. Try this place if you haven’t.

I simply enjoyed their food. I always get awesome customer service here. The place is neat and the employees are always nice. Will come visit again.

Great food with that dim steakhouse atmosphere! The medium filet was perfect paired with the fingerling potatoes, asparagus and mac & cheese. I read previous reviews about poor service and food since the management change a few months ago, we hadn't been previous to the change, but we thought it was great and would definitely come back! Octavio offered great service and we had a good time chatting with him!

Stopped in for breakfast while headed toward the lake. There was a slight wait to be seated (about 10 min). Once seated the waiter was very friendly, and full of recommendations for my 2 sons who couldn't decide what they wanted. The prices are good here and the portions are quite large. My kids, and husband had bacon eggs toast and potatoes. The kids loved the hot chocolate with the whipped cream. I enjoyed my granola with fruit and yogurt. We will be stopping in on our next visit for sure!

This was a disappointing experience on all levels. We expected great food based on the tenure of this location. First disappointment was the absence of the fondue pot, which was NOT noted on website. It all went downhill from there. My spinach salad was light on both the radishes, which still had the roots attached, and the goat cheese. The entrees were exorbitantly priced for what we were served. The trout was swimming in a pool of butter and the haricots vert were overcooked and crisped too long under the broiler. Hubby's strip steak was fatty and chewy, and his asparagus was woody and overcooked. Decided to cut our losses and not order dessert. The hostess/waitress was efficient and pleasant, hence the one star, but overall would not recommend unless you have money to burn!!

We came in on a Sunday night and we're staying at the Station House Inn. What a surprise. The chicken was perfectly prepared. The shrimp and asparagus as well. The seasoning on everything was great. The interior is old SLT cabin-y feel. It's not brand new and doesn't have to be with food like this! The chef has his own apple pie recipe that is to die for. If you have to wait to get in, make a reservation! If you get the chance to simply walk in, don't miss it. This place should be packed every night.

Lewmarnel's is the best restaurant in South Lake Tahoe. We stayed at the Station House Inn which was very nice, and were amazed by the quality of the restaurant. We ate here four times in two days, and were so impressed with the excellent cuisine. Both the ribeye and trout were phenomenal, as were the sides!! We really enjoyed ourselves.

I am so sad to post this. After 14 years of eating at this restaurant with family and friends, I am heart broken. I have eaten here no less then 20 times and 99% of the time it was great......, beyond great. A tradition has died. Missed happy hour by 8 minutes .....ohh well. A martini and a lemon drop filled 2/3 of the way in a dinky little glass...... $34.00 with tip........ ridiculous !!!!!! Bar tender was not good, not friendly and especially not on his game. The waiter was excellent....., food was nothing like before. Is this under new management...... ????? Paid way toooooooooo much for substandard. My fourth favorite restaurant is no more...... I have NEVER given one star. I felt like I was at Black Angus or the Outback, only with way over priced food. Sorry we will not be back.....

It was snowing outside and the walk in the snow was wonderful...when walking inside the coziness of the restaurant was great...then the waiters were GREAT! Their conversations and recommendations for drinks and food were also well received. So well received we went back for breakfast in the morning hoping to find the same waiters. Although we had new waiters, we found the same great conversation makers with new faces...and still GREAT FOOD!
