Cozy little Scottish pub. Stood at the door for about 5 mins by the sign saying wait to be seated, but no one spoke to us, despite a staff member walking by and definitely seeing us. Decent menu choices but the food itself was average. Ordered battered fish and chips, which arrived as more of a coated, flat fish, not a traditional batter. The chips were fries, and the tartar sauce was not great. (why onions in it?!) the portion size is huge though, so could definitely share between...
Not sure what’s taken me so long to review. Food is 5 stars. Price is worth it. Don’t sleep on this spot. Attic space isn’t open for the summer. Wait times aren’t long if you get there early. Get the chicken pot pie, the pizzas (any of them), and the truffle Mac. My father in law fell in love with the corned beef and cabbage.
Every time I go to Lake Tahoe I have at least one meal at mcduff's. The meal consists of fish and chips and sometimes other stuff. My son enjoys the pot pie. My wife enjoys the pub. And I enjoy the entire experience every time. Fabulous staff who treat everyone like a special guest. Thanks for another great meal.
