Beautiful outdoor dining experience. You can tell it is well thought out for the customers needs. Inviting atmosphere. Staff have excellent knowledge of the menu and provide immaculate customer service including patience and communication of the menu or specials. The food was presented beautifully like a Michelin star restaurant as well as the quality. We had one of their specials which was a lamb osso buco. The lamb was well flavored and, of course, fell right off the bone. No knife even needed. Highly recommend the tiramisu - You can tell that is a family recipe. Would definitely eat here again..

We came here at 10pm on a Sunday, when they had their “limited” menu, and let me tell you, it was very limited.

We got the burger, fettuccine Alfredo (with shrimp added for $14 extra), and the burrata salad. Everything that came out of their kitchen was absolute trash.

1. The burger. We ordered it medium, it came out well done. Dry, no flavor. The brioche bun was decent.

2. The fettuccine. These people have the AUDACITY to serve Kraft Mac N cheese level fettuccine, and on top of that charge FOURTEEN ADDITIONAL DOLLARS for THREE PIECES OF SHRIMP ADDED.

3. The burrata salad came gross. With wilted lettuce and a quarter dollar sized piece of burrata. The corn bread they served with it, while extremely out of place, did taste good.

Avoid this place. They do not care about the food they serve and it shows.

To add insult to injury the total came out to $90 for two people for just two terrible entrees and one appetizer.

I was truly amazed at the level of service and the quality of the pasta and food. The pasta is made in-house, the Ossobuco is a must, and the wine list has a wonderful variety of both old world and new world. We were fortunate enough to get to chat with Jim Primo, you can tell this guy is passionate about what he does. It's no wonder his father was an Italian restaurateur in Boston where he grew up.

We are bummed we didn't make it for their weekend brunch, but definitely will not be missing that next time.

My girlfriend can't stop dreaming about the tiramisu.

The best calamari I have ever had. Attentive staff and incredible food.

Great service. The food was incredible and we had a great time. Highly recommend this place for Italian or steaks. The menu is ekletic enough you'll definitely find something you like. All fresh pasta made daily and fresh seafood brought in daily.

Wow! What an awesome place! It feels like you’re walking into a speak easy as you enter then find yourself in a classic Italian restaurant with a vintage Tahoe vibe. Just go for the ambiance!

Let’s talk drinks…great wine list and their cocktails are unique and very good.

We got dinner, they start by bringing complimentary breadsticks and butter (which are amazing) then we got the crab bruschetta (also very good). We both ordered the burger despite it not being on the menu and it was solid. Their sides are unique - I’d recommend the Yukon potatoes. The burger was juicy, flavorful and we both had left overs.

We’ll definitely be back, can’t wait to try their more authentic dishes!

A little pricey but absolutely worth it for a special birthday dinner. Food was delicious. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. We’re from out of town, but if we visit again we would definitely come back!

This place was absolutely fantastic. Already walking into the restaurant, the atmosphere was perfect and the service was incredible. The appetizers, main course, and dessert were unforgettably delicious. I would highly recommend this place!!

Last week, my friend, Doug, my cousin, Antonio, his girlfriend, Margarida and I (luisa) were visiting my son, Ben, a long time resident of S. Tahoe. On Thursday evening, 2/19, Ben suggested going to see his friend, Jessica at one of his favorite neighborhood Italian restaurants, Primos. After being indoors for 3 days due to the huge snow storm, it was such a treat going out to dinner at this unique, welcoming, family restaurant.
From the moment we walked in and were introduced to Jessica, Ben’s friend & bartender, we felt right at home. She was so friendly & personable. The ambiance is warm & welcoming, the food is unique & delicious, the service is friendly, personal & professional.
Jessica mixed some delicious Old Fashions;
Paul, our server, was friendly, attentive, made some excellent wine suggestions & highlighted the night’s specials. We ordered the sea bass, the burrata salad, mussels, the Vodka pasta, lasagna, & eggplant Parmesan. Every entree was delicious and had an amazing presentation.
Everything was perfect; we even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Jim Primo.
I highly recommend experiencing this fabulous restaurant & look forward to returning.

Flavors were nice but food and service were subpar. Octopus was overcooked and chewy. Waiter took 30 minutes to get to the table for drinks. All in all I would not recommend
