This is one of our favorites. Great menu selections, enjoyable staff, great seating upstairs, downstairs, or out on the patio. Excellent staff and valet parking.

Just ok. Waiter was lovely but we were in crowded area by the door and view on one side. Food was not particularly exceptional.
Riva has always been a go to spot for dinner when in South Tahoe. No one else has waterfront dining. This time, we got a table on the deck which had a beautiful view. Service was a little slow, but they were very busy. I had the filet and it was overcooked but my wife's pasta was great. Not sure if we will go back on our next visit, but you can't beat the view.
Excited to return after having such a fabulous experience last summer, and quickly learned that it has changed. We waited 25 from the time we were sat to when someone greeted us. For the amount of people working it was slow with mediocre food. The bathrooms were terribly dirty.

This is our second time giving this place a try. 1st time the steak tasted like soap and this time it took 1 hour to get food, it looked and tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. Super disappointed especially at the price. I went on Tuesday at 630pm and it was not packed. The view is lovely but we were seated in the back so didn’t get that view . For the price, I expected better.

The hostess refused to seat me anywhere besides the bar as a single. Not busy at that time and we’re seating other groups out on the patio without reservations.

Nice place with amazing views of Lake Tahoe. Great service and really good food. Worth going there just for the view of the lake if noting else!

A friend and I traveled from Sacramento to spend a day at South Lake Tahoe hiking, exploring and recreating. We stopped at this place to eat before heading back to Sacramento. Very scrumptious food and very attentive service. Prices are reasonable for what is a more upscale dining experience. It has a swanky ambiance to it but you don't have to dress up fancy. It's a very popular venue in South Lake Tahoe, so reservations are recommended.

The place is nice and so is the atmosphere but the food was not good at all. All our steaks were under cooked with a really bad texture and taste, spcially for the money that we paid for it

Located right on the waters of Ski Run Marina, Riva Grill on the Lake is easily one of South Lake Tahoe’s premier waterfront dining spots. With floor-to-ceiling windows and a massive outdoor deck, it offers sweeping, front-row views of the lake and surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains.
Good food on the lake. Outdoor seating. Valet parking only. Good cocktails and yummy seafood. Great for a sunset meal. Large groups are welcomed. We made reservations and were seated promptly on the deck.

The food, service & ambiance was outstanding! The view is gorgeous. The food was excellent. The chimichurri salmon was delicious. Hubby had the pork tenderloin that was moist & cooked to perfection (he cleaned his plate!). And our server was excellent! Would highly recommend Riva Grill.
NEVER going back. 6 locals celebrating a bday. From hostess has no customer service skills, took 2 hours to get our food which was HORRIBLE. $600 + top... never again.
The menu includes a variety of food items to choose from and are well prepared. Restaurant location is great and they offer free valet service at no additional cost. The staff are friendly, attentive and accommodating. We have dined both indoor and outdoors. The outdoor seating area has great views of Lake Tahoe which is very relaxing. Indoor dining can be noisy during peak hours but you can still enjoy your meal and converse.
