Horrible service... food was edibleStopped in last night and the place was empty other than one table. Sat down at a booth that has cushions covered in duct tape and zero foam.Waited for a server but never came to the table. Finally asked the bartender who was kind enough to take our orders. Food was dropped off but no one returned to ask if we needed anything. Finally asked the bartender for additional napkins and extra BBQ sauce. "Kinda std for ribs"Again no one returned. Another couple came in and seated. About 20 minutes later they came to the bar saying they were delivered the wrong food. We finished our meal and waited to the check. Finally had to go to the kitchen and ask for our check. The server "talking in the kitchen" said she was busy and would stop by in a few minutes.Gave a $2.00 tip and left....So many great places to eat in South Lake Tahoe. Don't waist your time or money at this one....

Went on a vacation at Lake Tahoe everything went great except when we dine in here. Everything was a disaster. From service to food. Server is rude and very slow. It took exactly 30mins to get our "appetizer" All foods are bland Also always check your credit card charge because they add more than what you put as your tip. Ridiculous. Only good thing was the over all look of the tavern lol.

1/26 4-1/2 STARS! We stumbled upon Rojo's Tavern by chance after our original dinner plans fell through. A local Indian restaurant had an unexpectedly long wait for our large party, but Yelp guided us to a pizzeria which also struggled to sit a big group unfortunately. We decided to check out Rojo's next door, and super glad we did! We were seated in 15-minutes and on a cozy table that accommodated us all. The place may have an old-style motif, but don't let that deceive you. Rojo's Tavern is a hidden gem with fantastic customer service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. The French onion soup, ribs, pasta, appetizers, and salads were all exceptional - a true culinary delight. The history of this family-owned restaurant adds to its charm, and the dedicated team, including our server and chef with over 20+ years of experience, reflects their commitment to excellence. We'll definitely be back for more memorable dining experiences. If you're seeking great food without being overly concerned about ambiance, Rojo's is highly recommended! I can't wait to return, again and again. 4-1/2 stars! +
I had dinner last night with my friend my friend had the chicken Alfredo. I had the steak and French onion soup. The food was amazing. The service was the worst the waiter maybe overwhelmed, serving for couples, rude, rude, took the check envelope and just laid it on top of the food Very disrespectful which I wrote on the receipt. Poor customer service. I hope his manager talk to him really cool ambience the food is amazing. I would recommend this restaurant but they need to get better waitress and waiters educate them on customer service and treating the public respectfully

I've never experienced such amazing service, our server Jorge is seriously the BEST server I've ever experienced!!! We usually have a party of 6 or more and he remembers all of our drinks and order and has them ready for us right away. He always has a smile and never complains!! This man is truly a blessing and makes our crazy family dinners sooo pleasant!! Thank you Jorge for taking such great care of our wild family!!!
