Main entrees where very good. We had escargo as an appetizer, not as good, kind of bland. Wine by the bottle is a very good deal for a restaurant. Waiter was amazing and did not over or under serve us. It was our first time there. We will be back.

The service was fast, the food fantastic, the portions generous (I couldn't finish my plate), and the setting was lovely.

Our go to place at the Lake for over 30 years!!
Our server was very friendly, and they were ready for our reservation. Had 3 appetizers, and all were good. All 3 entrees were great, I especially liked the fish special they offered, and finished my entire plate (long day hiking). I would absolutely recommend this for a nicer dining experience that doesn't break the bank. They do a very good job of making traditional dishes and doing them well with good flavor, and also adding nice little variations to spruce things up.
We have dined at Scusa's for many years each time we vacation in Lake Tahoe. The food selection and service has always been excellent and this time is no different. The key to a great restaurant is maintaining consistent in the quality of the food and service and Scusa has done this each time we visit.
Do you want to enjoy real Italian cuisine in an atmosphere of high level service and delicious food? This place is it! I had the sole with caper sauce and a blue cheese Italian salad. It was the best. My water glass was constantly filled, the wine was a generous pour, and our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. We ‘ll be back!
It was so hot, loud and slow. It took forever to get our food and the service was really slow. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, disappointing
The food was fabulous, the waiter so friendly and engaging, and getting reservations on open table is so easy and efficient. It was a special evening for my daughter's birthday and couldn't have been any better.
I had lasagna and it was absolutely delicious. There were four of us in each of us got something different and everybody raved about what they had. And for an appetizer, we had the bread with the mozzarella tomatoes, and I don't know what it was called, but OMG it was also delicious. I can tell you I would go to that place every single time I come to Tahoe.

So yummy! I ordered the Cappelini and my mom ordered the Eggplant Parm. Both dishes were amazing and we topped it off by sharing the Tiramisu. Definitely recommend.
Amazing food, Google atmosphere, good service
Wonderful Italian food just outside downtown South Lake Tahoe. The chicken with ravioli and the chicken Marsala were fantastic. Prices are very reasonable and the service was excellent. Outside seating on nice days is very charming. Great desert as well.
This was my first visit to Scusa Italian Ristorante in South Lake Tahoe. My relatives and friends frequent the restaurant annually when they’re in South Lake Tahoe, which speaks volumes.
The food was mouth watering and delicious. Our waiter was professional, courteous, attentive, friendly and polite.
The menu has a variety of classic Italian dishes and great wines and desserts. We will definitely dine here again next time we’re in South Lake Tahoe. We also add a few other appetizers that I don’t have pictured. Fresh mozzarella and tomatoes and calamari.
If you’re in the South Lake Tahoe area, I highly recommend dining here if you love Italian cuisine. You can thank me later.
