Worst smoked brisket, maybe ever? I have been there before and it was decent. This time the brisket was dry, barely any bbq sauce, and lacked much flavor. The picture I took has no meat missing before. I moved the corn bread, took a bite of both sides. That's when I realized there is no way that is $27.50 worth of meat. DAMN, thats not even $10 worth. Been a couple years...I won't be going back.

Came for lunch. Salad was hot bitter and wilted. Didn't get refills on drinks. Do not get the tacos there gross. 😕 chicken was great and so was the brisket and good fries. But avoid anything with produce.

Good BBQ. I personally tried both the brisket sandwich and brisket salad. I liked the salad better. It’s really good BBQ. The sides are delicious. The corn bread is a MUST!!! It was a beautiful day, so we were able to eat outside which was very enjoyable.

I drove from Sacramento to try the BBQ, Reading the reviews i was hesitate about ordering in so i called ahead. The deep fried Mac N cheese balls were below average at best, nothing crazy no cheese pull no flavor. The half chicken was huge but lacked in flavor. It taste like it was smothered in smoke with no other seasonings. I asked for the original bbq sauce to get a feel of the house and was completely caught off guard with the fruity punch in the beginning when trying the sauce. Overall i would not go back. Not for me but maybe for you. Give them a try and beware if you do decide to dine in, you’ll either get great service or completely forgot about.

We went early for take-out. The restaurant was quiet. Very good pulled pork and tritium sandwiches. The greens Sadly, hadn't cooked long enough yet so stems were tough.
Honestly, the food here just really isn’t good. But the gal who was our server was great!

Had the beef ribs, huge, but thought there would be more meat? And it disappear not fall off bone, so the dog got some chewing in also. Cornbread was good, dogs are allowed in, and outside, food came quick, but inordered an extra side of Mac and cheese for 7 bucks figuring I'd get a little salad bowl full, I got a cup that was a tad larger than a starter sauce cup, not worth 7 dollars for 4 spoonfuls of Mac and cheese. The taste of the Mac was good, the ribs were tasty, the house sweet smoky sauce was good. So im a 7.7 on this BBQ place.
0.5 Stars … the ribs were bad and literally made me throw up late at night … do not recommend going here unless you want food poisoning or rotten ribs that had been on the counter all day!

The vibes are great, food was pretty good but definitely left a smokey taste in my mouth, the pig wings were a must- those were fantastic, service was great
This restaurant came highly recommended by a local upon preparing/planning for my trip in early May 2026. I ordered the pork ribs with a side of barbeque beans and collard greens. I like to taste the ribs first before dipping them in other sauces and I can tell you the pork ribs were flavorful on their own. The smoke, the spices and the tenderness were DELICIOUS. The restaurant does offer a few barbeque sauces at your table that you drown your ribs in. My only complaint for which I did mention to my server during my visit, was my collard greens- they were super salty. The server replaced my salty collard greens for another serving of barbeque beans (yes, I am a fan of bbq beans). I was appreciative of Sonney's for correcting this matter and for the staff for also recognizing the collard greens was indeed salty at the time (server mentioned the kitchen tried the greens to confirm). All in all, definitely stop by here for some great tasting barbeque and beer.
By the way, at the end of your meal, you are served with hot towels to clean your hands with after enjoying their ribs- love it.
Note: I included pictures of the barbeque beef ribs, but cannot provide an honest review as I did not try them, they looked amazing as well.

We loved Sonney's, the best BBQ Beef Brisket and Pulled pork Sandwiches we ever had. The service was great 👍
We got the combo platter with tri-tip and barbecue chicken, and it was probably the driest barbecue I’ve ever had in my life. I had a very high hopes. The mac & cheese was incredible, but the barbecue sauce was the worst barbecue sauce I’ve ever had. Service was great in the beginning, but when we asked for our food to go and decided that we’re gonna end up staying to eat, the young gentleman who works the front said we’re not welcome to eat there. Realistically, we will never come back here even though the pricing was reasonable.
