The Loft Restaurant/Lounge

The decor is so inviting and the manager Johnny was supper accommodating and understanding. The magician was super funny and did great at keeping us engaged.

Portions are indeed small. Overall, the food was delicious and nicely presented. The chocolate trio was a bit disappointing. The mousse was on the sour side, not sweet at all. Service was excellent - attentive and food was well paced.

Massively over price with unfriendly management and staff.

Stopped in here on a Friday night in October 2025, and our experience was phenomenal. GREAT FOOD! This was our last stop for the evening, having stopped at two other places for drinks and appetizers. The Loft was the very best food of the night! Imaginative, tasty, and just the right amount. Atmosphere and vibe was great, especially the intimate magic show in the seating area. Can't wait to go back.

We had such high hopes—sadly the food experience fell short. Presentation was excellent, food was not hot (the ones that were supposed to be). Scallops, while of good quality, I have never had scallops that “should have been seared”served almost as sushi-which we do like, however, this tapas was not described as that. Wait staff was pleasant, however, rather distant—not certain if she was too busy but knew we were planning on attending the show and it took us actually going to seek her out in order to pay so we could be on time—rather odd, I’d say. We did allow the 1 1/2 hours for dinner as suggested and good thing we did. The manager did stop by for a nice visit while we were there which was enjoyable but never had any “strolling magicians”. Perhaps, they are not available every night? The show was FANTASTIC!! I would highly recommend buying tickets but, perhaps, if you’re foodies like us, finding another restaurant prior would be my suggestion though we may have just hit an öff-night”.

However you want to spell it, this magician does not disappoint. Incredible personality and some close up magic that will put a smile blow your mind.

Erik Casey is an absolutely phenomenal magician! His talent is truly remarkable, delivering jaw dropping tricks that left us in awe. What sets Erik apart is how personable he is engaging the, audience up close with charm and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The intimate setting in The Loft at Lake Tahoe where you’re up close to the magic while enjoying drinks, is such a cool concept and made the experience unforgettable. Erik’s performance was the highlight of our evening, and we can’t recommend him enough for anyone looking for a magical night out!
