I and my fiance had a dinner today. The food was amazingly good and affordable. I've been to a couple of Japanese cuisine places in the South Lake Tahoe area but I thinm Yugen is really on top of my list. We told each other that we would have to come back soon
This place went above and beyond for us tonight. I'm from out of town. I called a few weeks ago to make reservation and they don't take then, no big deal. They day of us coming I called to give them a heads up there would be 9 of us and one in a wheelchair. The lady on the phone was so nice and said it should be ok. We were willing to wait but when we walked in they moved things around and got us right in. We had a great time. The food is incredible!! We got all kinds...

The sushi is out of this world, delicious in every bite, and for such an amazing price.
We had no idea how popular this place was, and they certainly were super busy when we stopped by, the friendly staff accommodated us regardless.
From now on this is a MUST have for all future Tahoe trips.
