Good place to get some breakfast. Our orders were ready fairly quickly and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend going here.
First time I came 2 or 3yrs ago got mildly sick. Last time about a week ago or so ago smelled funny and I got little ill feeling after and my friend felt mildly nausea a short time after.A bit pricey for area.
Tasty cafe breakfast with good bottomless coffee.
Their Food is so good!!
Good local spot - nothing fancy just good food at fair prices. Sandwich was very generous and filling. Veggie omelette was the same. Nice family business - we would return
We decided to check out this coffee shop on Grand Avenue when we learned that it was already open for dine-in business. However, we forgot that shops on Grand Avenue are usually full on weekends. And so was this coffee shop. In fact, it was packed. There were seven of us and we squeezed into a stall with one of us sitting on a chair at the end of the table. I ordered corned beef hash and it was good. The eggs were over easy medium like I asked. The hashed browns were crispy, and the toast was dripping with melting butter. This is what was outstanding about the place. They never scrimped on the butter. There was a large glob melting on top of the pancakes. The pancakes were great. Banana pancakes meant that the pancakes were made with real bananas and did not just have slices of banana in it. The orange juice was freshly squeezed but with the large droppings of pulp bits, you can imagine that it was most likely manually squeezed. And the coffee was constantly being refilled. What didn't measure was when bill payment time came, we had to line up to pay and get out of the place. Still a great place for breakfast. Come here on weekdays when there should be less people.
Came here after an earlier mishap. The cafe is like an old time diner setting. Very cool . The service was great. Our server constantly checked on us for coffee and water refills. The food was very tasty and very good portion size too. If I'm in the area I will definitely return.
Great local place! We tried chicken fried steak and corned beef hash; all are yummy! Staff are wonderful!
100 % RECOMMENDED! The service is excellent, friendly and helpful. We came because I ask Julio from the Fox Car rental were I can have a good Cornbeef Hash and he recommended Cable Car Cafe. Was so worth it ??. My wife had scramble eggs with bacon and hash brown. The server that I think is the owners is so friendly, thank you for taking care of us! You need to try a fresh squeezed orange juice ?
They are amazing , the food was great and also at an affordable price! I am just visiting San Fransico and coming her is such a gem to find and hope others find this spot too!!! I got the cable omelette and it was great!
Came upon this place by accident but I was pleasantly surprised! We were looking for a place to eat that would be quick and wouldn't break the bank and this was definetly it. Food was amazing and the lunch buffet price was cheap. Absolutely loved the naan and the butter chicken, and on top of all that it is halal! Would definitely go again!
Orange juice is bomb! And the chicken mushroom and swish is AMAZING
Chicken Fried Steak is awesome
Stick to your ribs diner food. Service was fast.
First time here since COVID... dividers between each booth... safe distance kept by server. GREAT variety of both breakfast, lunch. My bf had a delicious steak and eggs and I had their Cable Car omelette! DELICOUS!!!! Come and visit while you stroll around South San Francisco's beautiful Grand Avenue.
