The restaurant has a really fun vibe, we enjoyed the tacos, drinks and chips and salsa. Service was exceptional. The creamy tomato spaghetti in the kids menu was a surprising option considering it’s a Mexican place but it was really comforting and we enjoyed it as well.
The only disappointing part was Flan which was hard and overcooked and the prices being on the higher side for what we got. But it’s a fun place and we’ll be back for the food we enjoyed!

Great Yucatan-style Mexican food (which I haven’t seen a ton of in the Bay). I got the plantains and panuchos with cochinita pibil, both of which were delicious. I love how customizable food is here in terms of protein/spice and how diverse the options are. The vibes in the restaurant were lovely too, lots of families and couples having a nice time. This is a great stop for food in South SF.

Ordered cochinita pibil. Fatty and pretty tasty. Tortillas just ok. Bottled salsa. Rice, beans, guac, onions, tomatoes on the side, all decent but not exciting. Chips cost extra.

Excellent food. Whenever I see their food truck out n about my mouth salivates. Food comes out quickly once you order but lines can get long, for good reason. Look for all the color against a bright yellow food truck.

It’s not bad, but not great, just okay. The restaurant is cute, clean, and had adequate service. However, the music was loud, making it hard to hear. The chicken was dry, and the pork was under-seasoned. They wrapped the burrito in foil and then cut it in half, which left small pieces of foil that I had to pick out before I could eat it. On a positive note, the green salsa was fantastic!

The food was an absolute delight, bursting with flavors that danced on my palate. However, the restaurant's ambiance is filthy. As I rose from my chair, I saw a horrifying realization: poop smeared on my pants. It wasn’t until I returned home that I discovered the true nature of the mess – it resembled period blood, a grotesque and disturbing sight. My once-favorite pair of pants now felt ruined.
Initially, I didn’t notice the stain because the restaurant's chairs were a deep shade that concealed such horrors. It was a truly revolting experience that will linger in my mind long after the delectable taste of the meal has faded.

Cochinita is as authentic as it gets. From the entrance, to the decor, to the food/drink, and staff. It really transports you into an authentic Mexican restaurant! The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re seated in a outdoor alley with the Edison outdoor lights strung along the ceiling. The food was absolutely delicious. Flavorful, hot, fresh, and authentic. If you get a chance to stop by here, you should!

What a fun find! We were going somewhere else but couldn’t get a table but as soon as we realized that Cochinita is the same as one our favorite food trucks, we had to hop in. The salbutes and chilaquiles were delicious
