Hidden amidst the corporate park at Gateway is a hidden gem known as Esposto's. Conveniently located in an easily accessible place for corporate workers and near lots of accessible parking makes for a great lunch spot during work hours.Many workers in my office come here for a quick lunch, and there's a reason that people come back so often. The prices are very worth the serving size, and the quality of food is always very fresh!There is inside and outside seating (inside has very nice ambience, and it's pretty quiet outside).My go-to is the Bacon Cheeseburger or the Wedgie Salad with Flank Steak. Their sandwiches are all very nice too!

Esposto's replaced Specialty's at 701 Gateway. Sandwich for sandwich, amiright? I've had Esposto's before at the Mission Bay location, so happy to find a location right by work. People that work here are super friendly. Sandwiches are somewhat small (for American standards) and therefore are a bit on the pricier side. My usual go to is their Reuben sandwich, which is perfectly toasted with juicy meat and sauerkraut. My only complaint is that there isn't that much protein (as mentioned, kind of small). Still tasty. But hey, if you believe in portion control, then this shouldn't be too much of a problem. As for parking, there is guest parking adjacent to the joint. Most visitors here are workers in the nearby area, so they would not be using the guest parking.Definitely will be back when I'm in the mood for a sandwich and don't want to go too far (e.g. if I don't have enough time to go to Little Lucca's).

Tried the portobello burger special. The lady at the counter was super nice, and gave suggestions. Then the owner (chef?) came by with samples. Food was really good, quick, and served hot!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options. I had a portobello burger, but there was lots to choose from.
Today we had the Cubano and DNA sandwiches. So good! The bread was soft & so fresh- as usual' they bake their own bread! try their fresh baked oatmeal raisin cookies too. I was a frequent customer of their San Mateo location and missed their marinated steak salads and all their yummy food! I finally made the visit to SSF and I'm glad I did! I even got see familiar faces amongst staff. So cool! I'm definitely returning! Glad to have Espostos deli back in my life. P.S it be great if they bring back the salad bar. Marinaded steak salads

This place is awesome, sandwiches are great and they come out fast ! Great team taking orders and making them ! Nice and quite while you sit down and eat. Had the BLTA and the urban cowboy so far, both great, I recommend!

We have been pescatarian for about 10 years now, so sometimes food options are limited. This is the BEST veggie sandwich I have ever had! The southwestern avocado salad was killer and huge. And Calicraft Coast Kolsch was delicious after 2 weaks drinking bland Carribean brew. It is only a 13 minute walk from the Comfort inn, and about a half hour walk from the harbour. Do not hesitate. I figure he coffee here is the ? as well ?Vegetarian options: ???
