It’s a little sad that their quality changes depending who makes it? I guess? But the first time I tried these donuts I really liked them. This time I had the guava crunch and the cookie butter with oreo. The cookie butter with oreo was a little better than the guava one. The guava donut was okay, but I was disappointed at their frosting. It was a little runny, I personally like set frostings better. I don’t know if this was a mistake or if that is how it’s meant to be, but i think there is room for improvement.Donuts are 2 for $6

I have been wanting to try these mochi donuts for so long. I got an assortment of six. They were all OK, but five stars all the way for the cinnamon sugar, and the chocolate. Those two are incredible and you shouldn’t waste your time on the others ?

Ordered three different donuts. The best was the powdered sugar donut. The chocolate had an unusual after taste. Not sure if it was my taste buds or if there was something unusual in the chocolate.Would get all powdered sugar next time.

Sadly, we were waiting for this place to open at 11am on a Sunday. We waited until 11:10am and they still weren’t showing signs of opening, so we went across the street to the other donut truck (which was excellent). I intend to try the mochi donuts sometime, and if Hookt is open then according to their posted hours I will update my review.

Found this place online looking for Mochi donuts. The process is super easy.. order online for pickup at the time you want. The mochi donut is slightly sweet for my taste but that could be the flavors that I selected. The people are super friendly and the directions from others on how to get to the location (pastel blue building with pink door) is definitely helpful.

I love mochi donuts. I get them once in awhile and Hookt Doughnuts is my go to place. They are close to home and work and easy to pickup.

Amazing donuts. Amazing owners. Not to mention the creative blend of flavors and colors. The mochi donuts, while they're all the rage, these guys have been cooking up batches forever! Their mochi donuts are chewy good. I could eat them every day. Of course, you have to try their namesake, mini donuts, with a cup of joe. Hang out on the nearby benches and soak up the freedom of stepping outside your home with some donuts.

Got the box of 6 and tried all the flavors they had and it was so good! I haven't found a place in south San Francisco that did mochi donuts and this place was good. However, finding it was a challenge since it was location in this place where there are tons of other werehouses and it was located in the back. Parking wasn't bad

Donuts are too pricey. While their texture is alright for a mochi donut, it's a bit too firm and less on the chewy side. Some flavors aren't too strong either (ex: cinnamon). Not bad but I would go for Mochill in Japantown instead.

Hookt Doughnuts has been on my to-try list for a while, so I'm excited I finally had the chance to go visit this past weekend. They were open for takeout even during SF lockdown. Ordering was done non-contact through their website; there was a sign on the window and a QR code (which didn't work for me, but fortunately the URL was easy enough to type in). On the spot I ordered a pack of a dozen mini donuts to go - oreo cookies with cookie butter, caramel, and ube coconut - and they were ready in 5-10 min as promised. My favourites were definitely the ube coconut ones. I shared the box with my bf and we ended up finishing them throughout the day while they were still warm (ish, by the end of the day) and soft; though since we finished them relatively quickly though, I'm not sure how they would hold up over more than a day's time.

Although the donuts are delicious, they are not worth the long wait. I ordered 20 mins ahead. When I arrived, I was waiting for an extra 10 mins until I Decided to asked about my order. The staff told me that when I ordered, they ran out of donuts and had to wait an extra 15mins; I am being told this while other customers were ordering and be told to wait just 10 mins and others getting their donuts. Not coming back.

Thank you for being open. Friendly staff and those amazing little donuts...I could eat a dozen so easily. They have food items...but those donuts so cute and delish. Please give them a try when in the area.

I drove from South City on a Monday and saw a sign saying that they only make mochi donuts on weekends. I came back today and waited 10 min at the front of the order line and the attendant kept making donuts and did not take my order. I just walked away.

Placed an order through DoorDash for Sunday pickup at 1pm in SSF. I called when I arrived and they told me they're closed that weekend and it's an issue I'll have to sort through with DoorDash, even though I already paid for my order a week prior and had the confirmation email in hand. I said "ummm... okay. Well it says you're open online, just an FYI." Lady (found out it was the owner) said I can go to Mission Bay if I want in SF, but there's a 2 hour wait "sorry." No form of extra assistance on Easter when I was supposed to bring these donuts to an Easter family party when their website had bad info on it. She repeated to tell me "sounds like an issue for you to sort with DoorDash." I would like to add, I went on their website to order, there was a link that said to order through DoorDash, which I did. I followed the instructions on their own website in placing this order. Donuts are bomb but their customer service, or lack there of, is terrible. I'd rather support a small business that actually cares about their customers. In addition, there's no one to even escalate this to because apparently it's the owners who treated me this way. Feedback from the owner: "sounds like your frustrated and wanted to take it out on us" And then a few days later, the owner followed up with: "looks like you have a lot of bad reviews on yelp and bad energy" As opposed to taking responsibility of the problem, that's the feedback I get. Nice.

Donuts are great if you can get past the owners awful attitude. Rude service, bitchy tone. All in all I would go there more often if someone else owned it or could deal with the customers better. The website says open but their location is closed. Do better. That's all I'm saying.
