Whenever I use Standfield catering,I get many compliments on their food from folks. You can't beat the portions they give you. The staff is great to work with and very patient. Always on time. Food presentation is awesome. I highly recommend them for any catering needs. I can't say enough.

We had our wedding in April 2019 at the SF Film Centre. James Standfield Catering was wonderful to work with. Our friends and family are still reminiscing about the brisket, and the butternut squash ravioli. We keep hearing "Wedding food is usually not that great, but the food at your wedding was amazing". We aren't big foodies and amazing food wasn't something we were necessarily aiming for so we were thrilled that we found these guys. In addition to the delicious food, they were a pleasure to work with. Very good, kind people who do good, honest work. The cost was so reasonable. They took great care of us through the whole planning process and knowing we were in good hands put us at ease during our wedding day.

Amazing food. I have had 5 corporate events catered by them and each time guest want to know where I got the food. Food is is tasty, large portions, clean, covered correctly, and delivered on time. I have talked to Cristina or Mirna each time and I can normally squeeze in my order within 24 hours. Having them cater another large event next month. Definitely my go to catering company.

We booked James Standfield Catering for our wedding and they made us confident in their ability to execute throughout the entire process--from the tasting to our actual wedding day. The caterer was the most important component of the wedding for us especially since we needed event services as well. We had about 150 guests and a more complicated seating arrangement of long tables. James Standfield came recommended by the venue and when we booked the tasting, we knew immediately that they were the best fit for us. They were able to do everything that we needed--secure rentals at a great rate, arrange the ceremony and reception floor plans without a hitch, and serve delicious food. Renee and Cristina made everything easy (very accessible via phone and email) and during the day-of they were so attentive to all of the details. Most importantly, our guests loved the food!

This is a LONG overdue review for James Standfield Catering (JSC). We got married at the Gamble Gardens in Palo Alto in June 2011 and had out wedding catered by JSC. We chose JSC because of Alicia we met with her for our tasting and the service was amazing! I knew with her in charge and the food we tasted things would go beautifully. I was right Alicia went above and beyond she was the catering service and a day of coordinator. Our wedding was perfect! Thanks Alicia and James Standfield catering.

We hired James Standfield to cater our wedding reception at our home, and the whole experience from start to finish was fabulously smooth. Alicia and Cristina were super communicative and responsive, and we really appreciated how flexible they were in adapting to our particular needs. This is really impressive in retrospect given we changed our minds a bunch in figuring out what we wanted! The staff were all extremely professional, as well, and worked seamlessly with our coordinator to pull everything off without a single hitch; we didn't even have to do any clean-up afterwards, which was just the best present to receive after a crazy day. I can't begin to express how great the food was. We got endless compliments on how delicious the seafood paella + pesto rack of lamb were, in addition to the crab cakes, mini beef wellingtons, and dim sum served beforehand. All of it was just absolutely fantastic -- I kind of can't believe how well James Standfield prepares such a wide variety of foods. All of this added up to a _huge_ load off of our backs when doing wedding planning. James Standfield made what was already a special day all that more perfect; strongly recommend you try them out and schedule a tasting.

We just had a driver hit our vehicle and wouldn't cooperate wouldn't give us his name wouldn't give us his insurance and tried to leave! Terrible company, should really train your drivers before you give them keys to drive!
They catered for a thanksgiving feast at work today and it was so good. They were great in that they listed what foods were vegan and vegetarian for the special dietary folks which was rare with most of our company's recent catering. Their turkey was cooked perfectly and all the sides were so well done. I would definitely ask for them to cater again.

We went thru about many iterations on our proposal and a few bumps in the road (original rental company went bankrupt 3 weeks before the big day) and Cristina really stepped up to the plate to help us with everything. Thank you JSC for an amazing night! Note: We used Bright Event Rentals through JSC and really loved their selection of items!

My family has used James Stanfield for some family events over the years so I decided to use them for my friend's wedding shower and pool party that we hosted at our home. We ordered their stuffed chicken, ravioli and paella for past parties but for our pool party we chose the BBQ chicken and ribs menu. Our guests loved the food and so did we. I deducted one star because the red linen tablecloth they brought had a lot of stains on it and their chafing dishes looked like they have seen better days (one cover had a loose handle). Other than that, I will definitely call on them again for our next party but I will be sure to request stain free or cleaner linens and better chafing dishes.

I was working with this company for a while emailing back and forth what I wanted for my wedding. Finally came the question came, "What's your email address so we won't have to communicate via Yelp?" I gave my email, making it obvious that I was a minority (per my last name in my email). Radio silence. I emailed back in case I wrote the wrong email address and it was all a misunderstanding, but nothing. Nothing saying they received my email or that something was on its way.

I coordinated a small graduation catered by James Standfield Catering and the food was simply heavenly. The graduates, their parents and all the guests are still talking about how good the enchiladas with all the trimmings were.
