We had dinner here after work event. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but it was early. The food was fantastic, the presentation was excellent, and the employees were very kind. I would definitely go here again, I had the ceviche it was superior. I also had a mango drink which was delicious. Parking can be a little tricky but we lucked out and pulled in right as somebody pulled out and were able to park right in front of the restaurant.

Absolutely loved this meal! The seafood curry was rich, creamy, and full of flavor—perfectly cooked fish, shrimp, and shellfish in every bite. The grilled chicken was juicy with a delicious smoky char, paired nicely with crispy potatoes and fresh, crunchy coleslaw. The rice complemented both dishes really well, making everything feel balanced and satisfying. Overall, a very delicious and fulfilling meal. Highly recommend!

A Hidden Gem for Authentic Peruvian Flavors !
Rockoto Peruvian Cuisine in South San Francisco is a fantastic spot for delicious, authentic Peruvian food and a great variety of drinks. The dishes are flavorful and well‑portioned, and the cocktails—especially the pisco‑based ones—perfectly complement the meal. It has a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes it an easy place to recommend and a spot you’ll want to return to.

The food server is always very stingy with the wine pour! The other server is very good. I told the waiter to give a good pour unlike the last time he waited on me. Never bought me any water either. He needs to fired!

The food here is delicious! We've eaten here several times. The ceviches have fresh fish with delicate balances of flavors, their cooked fishes and meats are cooked perfectly. My eating partner can't get enough of their aǰi de gallina.
I've been to many different peruvian places around the US and this one is my top 3 in the Bay Area for price for what you get.

The interior is unassuming, but the food and service are incredible!
All of our food was beautifully presented and delicious. I ordered the Mixta salad and could taste the quality of the ingredients. The salmon was perfectly flaky, and the salad tasted fresh. The dressing was well balanced - enough to impart flavor but not overwhelming.
Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She even brought over free drink samples for new mixed drinks that aren’t on the menu yet. We felt really well cared for when we were at Rockoto!
They were also easily able to accommodate our party of 7. My only critique is that it was sometimes hard to hear other people at our table because the acoustics of the restaurant made all of the sounds echo-y. But it wasn’t a big deal and we all had a good time.
Thanks for hosting us for a great dinner!

We came here looking for a nice, quaint local restaurant. Stumbled on this gem and was not disappointed. Came in for a late lunch and had the place to ourselves. The owner was there and made us feel very welcome. Had great suggestions for meal choices and definitely hit the mark. Food was outstanding! Pricing was pretty much in line with what was expected for the quality and the location. Would definitely consider going back if the opportunity presents itself.

I stopped by Rockoto Peruvian Cuisine in South San Francisco on a quiet afternoon and left incredibly impressed. I tried the Ají de Gallina empanadas, and they were nothing short of amazing. The empanada crust was perfectly crisp and golden, and the filling was rich, creamy, and bursting with traditional Peruvian flavor. You could taste the layers of seasoning and care that went into each bite—it was honestly one of the best empanadas I’ve ever had.
On top of the fantastic food, the customer service was outstanding. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They took the time to chat with me and made the entire experience feel personal and authentic.
Rockoto is a hidden gem, and I’m so glad I stopped in. If you’re in the area—or even if you’re not—it’s absolutely worth the trip. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu!

A gem to find Rockoto! Here for a fab class at San Francisco Baking Institute, wanting a bit of contrast to Vienoiserie, we were delighted with the Sopa Parihuela and Peruvian Anticuchos. Fresh, generous, beautiful presentation, really great wait staff/ambiance…Home mixed Sangria a treat. Rockoto will bring us back to South San Francisco…
