I would highly recommend this restaurant. Jenny the owner was so accommodating to my family. The restaurant was closed on Mondays and they allowed us to have a memorial luncheon to celebrate the life of my Mom who was Peruvian and passed away in December. The menu that we selected was food that my Mom had prepared many times over the years for a family. All who attended the luncheon could not stopped talking about the food and excellent service. You can't go wrong with ordering their Pisco Sours, empanadas and cerviche, just to name a few of the delicious plates.

Fairly new place in SSF to enjoy somePisco sours and ceviche. We enjoyed the original and maracuyá sours, both were perfectly frothy. We shared the ceviche platter, some yuca fries, and the most delish mushroom/ veggie empanadas. We sat at the bar and the service was great. We will definitely be back to enjoy some sours and try some more food

Hands down one of the best steak in town. The service was excellent, definitely one of the hidden gem in Bay Area. Will definitely go back

Ceviche Costeno this along with the taro chips is delicious. Chicken Empanadas are light crispy and delicious as well. The light green sauce served alongside them is fantastic !Lomo Saltado has generous pieces of very tender steak and is definitely one of my favorites. Also had crispy Brussel sprouts with ahi Amarillo aioli and they are worth coming back for . Overall a great first time experiencing this restaurant. S.S.F FOR LIFE !

The food here was amazing. I wish I could remember the name of the dish I had but it included a perfect steak seasoned to perfection, roasted potatoes that were so good and honestly the best green salads that had a surprise twist, as they added fresh mint. Trust me, it was delish. Parking sucked but was worth the walk. Atmosphere seemed good, we came for lunch so hard to tell. Really fresh tasting excellent food. Prices were really good for lunch and big portions.

Food was delicious, full of flavor. We left the restaurant extremely satisfied with both the food and service. Our server Margarito was very attentive and friendly. Our group was a party of four. We ordered their popular ceviche trio as an appetizer, our entrees were lomo saltado, salmon a la macho and the pollada peruana. We have been to Limon in Burlingame but my husband thinks Rockoto's food is more delicious. The entrees were just a little pricey but we know it is just the norm these days. We also enjoyed the tres leches cake for dessert. Not to sweet, but creamyThere were a few empty spots on the street for parking but it eventually got filled up.

Bad food. I regularly visit Lima Peru. This is a very mediocre version. Overcooked. Bland. Will not come back. The problem is not a toned down aji, I didn't have any aji. It just was NOT GOOD. Everything we ordered was barely edible. Overcooked. Even my chilcano pisco drink was mediocre. The atmosphere is not a "nice place" .. but felt more like a cafeteria. But the bill for 2 people was over $100. Would be fine if the food was good but I would have literally rather had taco bell... Which is close by. Go there instead. The server was initially very nice but never came back to check on us so I could say that the fried egg was hard fried... You want a runny yolk to run over the lomo saltado. In the appetizer dish, hard boiled eggs over boiled. The sauce was bland and not well done. I have had this dish many times, it's normally tasty. Here it was not. We didn't even finish half of it. This place just doesn't know how to cook.

I ordered to go when they first opened and food was good, but I just dined in and everything we ordered just wasn't as expected. Lomo Saltado was missing flavor and meat was dry...ceviche was ok but not great. The service wasn't good and they didn't even ask if we wanted water. Prices are high but unfortunately not worth it.

The menu is limited in selection but the food was good. I ordered the lomo saltado and it was different being offered with mash potatoes vs rice, and my husband had churrasco Criollo. The steak was a pretty decent size and cooked just right he said. We also ordered the Jalea. The food is good just wished it had a bit more selection otherwise it's not bad. Since it's still a bit new, it wasn't busy. I would definitely come back just wished there was more selection.
