I've never tried Lao food, especially their BBQ, but this is my third time driving from Arcadia to savor it. Every meat piece boasts a distinct blend of flavors, making it one of the finest Asian BBQ experiences. The sauce, in particular, captivates me with its rich taste. Without a doubt, it's the top restaurant at Rodeo 39!

Get the BBQ Mix Plate!!!! We were just looking at the menu when a customer eating told us we needed to try this spot. He said he comes to rodeo 39 just for this spot so we had to try it. We got the BBQ Mix to try the different meats and it came with bbq beef short rib, bbq pork rib, bbq chicken thigh, and a lao sausage. The pork meat fell right off the bone and the lao sausage was soooo delicious!!! We also got the pineapple drink which was so refreshing, not too sweet. There's plenty of seating in the rodeo 39 market and took about 10 minutes to prepare our food.

My first and only experience with Laotian food and I'm a fan. Have eaten here serval times over the last couple of years.

Having only visited Rodeo 39 a couple times, there are a lot of spots I need to follow through with. I was walking the whole gallary of resturants until my eyes rested upon this place. I have never had Laotian food before. Like the many, the discovery made it the perfect opportunity to try their mixed BBQ plate. - BBQ pork rib, looked dry to me but the meat ended up being moist and very flavorful. A true fact that appearance can be deceitful. - BBQ chicken, very tender, perfect smokey flavor, I wish it came with two! - Short ribs, mine came with minimal meat. But of what was there, it reminds me of any good short rib cut, perfectly marinated and flavored right. - Lao sausage, saved the best for last. While all the meat was good, none of it stood out to me like the sausage. Stuffed with pork, onions, lemongrass, and scallions. This was the best surprise for me. The plate come with a base of rice, I chose fried. For the price, you get a good meal. The food is definitely fresh. Many thanks to the two employees working, they make the magic happen.

I wasn't that impressed. The chicken was flavorful, but the portions were small. The sticky rice didn't taste fresh and was extra hard. I like how they added a salad on the side. I probably would try something new in Rodeo 39.

Never had Laotian food until now, but I definite want more. Figured the BBQ Mix Plate was a good place to start and was not disappointed. All of the meats included: Chicken thigh, Pork rib, Sausage, Beef short rib were perfectly cooked and flavorfully seasoned. The sausage was easily my favorite...maybe next time I'll get all sausage! Fast and friendly service, and comfortable seating, just like the rest of Rodeo 39.

When I got my food...the bbq ribs was gray...no sear marks to be found...cut into it...it was raw...luckily I ate there and asked for it to be cooked...the sticky rice had a crust on it...basically it's old sticky rice...flavor wise it wasn't good but it wasn't bad...meh....service in the front was good...I just don't know what they were thinking in the back...

I live in the san fernando valley and happened to be visiting a friend near this place so I went onto my LA times top 101 list and it was about 15 minutes from my friends house in anaheim. Its in a really cool little food court and no one would guess the level of deliciousness here! I got the combo BBQ plate for about $20... sausage, short ribs, chicken and several kinds of meat.... this place is seriously good Q!!!!! I got probably 3 meals out of this over 2 days. I would happily schlep down to garden grove for this level of BBQ!!!!!!!

Highly recommended food stall to try in Rodeo! I've had the chance to try each item on the menu and everything was delicious. We always pick up some orders when we are here. The papaya salad combo is a great deal so don't forget that. When you ask for spicy, it's real spicy just like they do in Laos. They used to have a dessert station (like mango sticky rice), but it wasn't there the last time so I hope they bring it back! Tip: - They can provide extra plates and utensils if needed - You can order online and pick up (there's a 10% discount code if it's your first order)

A little biased here because I grew up eating this kind of cuisine at home but it's refreshing to know that there is a business showcasing Laotian BBQ! Got the Lao BBQ Mix Plate with Sticky Rice & Lao Papaya Salad for a first timer and it was soooooo good! Definitely hit all the right spots and all the flavor profiles that would expect! Papaya salad "spicy level" is a good type of spicy and the sausage is just packed full of flavor!

Medium papaya salad was alright. The fish sauce was strong and taste was spicier than expected, but I enjoyed it overall. Portion was also a tad smaller than I expected but a good size for 1 person. Next time if I did order this, I would probably would've done mild and added extra protein as a side.
