Driving from San Fran to Sacramento and randomly pulled off here for lunch. What a find!! Food is amazing, atmosphere is great. All around great spot!
Carnitas tacos were great. Quesabirria was a bit too greasy for my taste as it was deep fried, but tasted good.
If you’re looking for an epic time go during the karaoke 😃

Carnitas el Bajio offers a short lunch spot with Mexican meat eater type. The carnitas are amazing and full of flavor, tender and perfectly crispy on the edges. The pork skin recommendation is a must try and comes with free chicharrón and chips. The tacos are top‑notch, stuffed full of meat, with Asada& carnitas street tacos and homemade shells. The salsa is on point and fresh, spicy and the perfect complement to every dish. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with loud Mexican music playing, nicely spaced tables and seating that are really nice. Most of the menu is translated to English and you can pay with card. Service is fast and friendly, the staff takes pride in the food they serve. Prices are very competitive and the restaurant is clean. Call‑in and pick‑up orders are booming, and the double down Mondays and Tuesdays offer dollar fifty tacos. This hidden gem hits the mark for a quick lunch or a family meal and is highly recommended.
