I've only been here once. Visited on taco Tuesday since the tacos were being advertised as $1 each. I ordered 3 chicken tacos and a cup of iced water and paid $5, (didn't find out until after the fact that sour cream and cheese jacks up the price to basically regular price). The tacos were okay at best. The chicken was super dry and bland, but the water was tasty for tap. Would've much rather spent the $5 on taco truck tacos, but you live and learn. I'll probably revisit and try their breakfast burritos or deli sandwiches.UPDATE:So I’ve been here several times since my original review and tried different items on the menu and I must admit the food is much better than I previously stated. My absolute fav is the breakfast burrito! I like to order mine with just potatoes, eggs, and cheese and it’s sooo good and reasonably priced. I think I stop by the restaurant so often for breakfast that they ladies pretty much know what I want as soon as I walk in. I’m glad I decided to give the food another shot, well worth it.

Come here every other day, good service, good food, always ordered the same thing...tacos which were $1 now jumped to $1.50 which was the only thing on the menu that was raised, sucks for me. Nice view too on the patio.

This is a cafe owned by Nena of Nena's restaurant. I come here every so often to take a break from my Smart Ones meals. They are convenient for me as it is right next door to my office. The food is inexpensive, delicious, and not just thrown together. They get it out to you quickly. Even better is enjoying your lunch outside by the water and water fountains. The girls are always pleasant which is a definite plus in my book.

Hubby was going to give this place 1-2 stars because they messed up our breakfast order. The young lady behind the counter took his order for scrambled eggs with ham & English muffin. She didn't wait for my order and took off into the kitchen when she thought she heard him say 2 orders of the same item when he meant 2 eggs in the one order! Another young lady took my order for bagel and cream cheese. After a wait (it's a deli place with 2 tables for deux), she brought out 2 plates of the same dish and apologized for the mistake when we clarified our order. I went ahead and took the dish because I knew they'd throw it away if I didn't eat it even 'tho I didn't want so much food. It's a breakfast I can make at home myself. They toasted my muffin but hubby complained his wasn't toasted enough. All that and a coffee for $11. During my meal, she came back with the hot bagel and melting cream cheese all wrapped up in deli paper, stating if she didn't give it to me (no charge), they'd have to throw it away. It was nice that they corrected their error, thus giving hubby a snack for later.. A crowd of school age kids poured into the deli after we left. The deli is located in a building with a great outdoor view of the harbor and stadium across the street where the Stockton Thunder hockey team and other sport teams play. They have outdoor seating to enjoy the view. Their menu is heavy on sandwiches and the usual deli coffee choices, cookies, drinks/soda The building reminds me of the places at the Cannery or Monterey's Cannery Row filled w/shops. Sadly, most of the storefront spaces in this building were empty.

Great place, the new owner really opened the place up and made it more of a friendly environment. One of the best meatball sandwich I have had but call ahead to see if they have them the day you are going, they are a special item.

This cafe is a "delight" for sure. The owners have made every effort to make the food fresh and delicious, and offer a nice salad bar as well. Now they have taken things up a notch and have put in a coffee bar. You can select your personal cup of coffee made by the cup. Nothing but fresh and robust here. I tried the Kenya AA Dark. Delicious and I will be going back to try more varieties soon. I saw a Costa Rica and a Sumatra, and they have a very nice Waterfront Blend too. I did not like their lattes before, but they have made improvement to their espresso too. So go there, and try it out. They offer a nice outdoor patio as well as a cozy indoor eating area.
