Food was point, taste is very authentic and good size portions. The Bread they give you is very good, nice crunchy crust yet very soft inside and warm. Music playing in the background, I'm guessing Hilda greeting everyone that walks in, gives this place a homey feeling. I'd recommend this place and will definitely be back.

It is a small restaurant where the warmth of home is present, the Mexican food is so tasty and at a very good price. Its people are very friendly and accommodating in what the customer asks for. I promise that if you try it you will come back. I recommend some green chila quiles. Often, basket tacos themselves, all the food is very good....thank you, Mrs. Hilda.

Great food all around, one of the most authentic Mexican food you could have in Stockton. Its own by a very sweet Young Lady, & recommend to try little bit of everything. Very satisfying!

I've been passing by Hilda's for YEARS! My first visit was well overdue. There's not much parking available on the street but once inside, Hilda's is much bigger than you'd think. I ordered the Chiliquiles con asada topped with juevos over medium. It had super tasty carne and tasted as authentic as you can get! My taste buds had a fiesta! Comes with a side of warm bread, a bowl of delicious chili verde salsita, and crema. Everything was tasty and seasoned to perfection! I had a bite of the pork tamale and it was superb! It was moist and flavorful. Mexican music was being played throughout our breakfast, and the waitress was super friendly and patient with my lack of Spanish skills. For the five of us, the bill was around $75. Very reasonable. No question, I'll be back. My taste buds demand it!!!

I've given this place a few tries because the food is decent, the only problem every single time is the old lady with super rude attitude always making up her own prices overcharging me whatever she feels like, she says the menu is not updated and gets defensive when you ask her to break down the total because it never adds up and she won't give you a receipt, if you want customers to return it's time to retire the old lady because she is the only reason people don't want to come back. I'm never coming back solely because of her.

Been here multiple times with out issue but today the old lady that was some things wrong on me and my boyfriend order and when the food came I kindly told the same old lady that there were things wrong with my order and she just responded so rudely and didn't bother to fix my plate and just walked off .Disappointed I love this place but her service is AWFUL

When you come inside you have to go to the counter and place your order. The owner is always here very friendly and pleasant. Music is always playing in the background. The food is so delicious! The chilaquiles are the best in town. I asked if the Chile Relleno had seeds inside. She said "No" but, they always say that at every restaurant I order from. First time ordering the Chile Relleno here and very delicious and NO SEEDS inside which is a huge for me. I don't like when you cut into a Chile Relleno and seeds are inside. That means that the Chiles weren't cleaned out. Highly Recommend !!!!

I always enjoy the pursuit of local business especially when it comes to mom and pop Mexican Food. On Mother's Day this place was bursting at the seams with the church crowd and people like me (non denominational)! That being said the verde chilaquiles were authentic with a nice tomatillo flavor. The corn tortillas were exceptional and probably the best corn I've had in a long time. Quick shout out to Nenas for the best flour tortillas in San Joaquin Valley hands down... In short I wanted to like the whole breakfast but unfortunately the rice and beans fell short of the mark. Also, just curious as to why there was a heaping scoop of mayo alongside the chilaquiles... No Bueno!
