Inaccurate hours. Drove 80 miles just for them to be closed (July 3, 4 PM) despite hours showing OPEN on GOOGLE and YELP. What a disappointment
This little hole in the wall should have a much larger location. If so, they could be one of the best dining experiences in Stockton.
The food is fantastic, and the portions are large. I am confused at to how they are keeping their prices low and still stay in business.
The staff are friendly and helpful if you are new and need suggestions.
The atmosphere is quiet and a good place to go if you would like to actually hear the person you are with when talking.
I highly recommend this place.
Some of the best food I’ve had in a minute. The staff was real friendly, food came out quick and tasted amazing. Wasn’t too busy either. Highly recommend coming here also the Thai iced tea was delicious!

Good food and good portion
Big portions, great flavors, worth the stop
Lotus Thai & Khmer Cuisines is a great find. Portions are large, food is fresh, and flavors are on point. We ordered a mix of dishes and nearly everything was excellent.
The noodle soup was light, clean, and comforting with great depth of flavor. The Pad Thai was solid with great texture and seasoning. Fresh spring rolls were crisp and refreshing with a good balance of herbs and shrimp.
The grilled chicken with rice was juicy and flavorful, and the papaya salad had a nice tang and kick. Drinks were also a highlight — the iced Thai tea and coffee were delicious and not overly sweet.
Clean spot with friendly service. Heads up: they charge a 4% credit card fee.

The Boat Thai Soup was bland compared to other places. I had to mix in all the sauces on the side just to make it palatable. Most Boat Thai Soups I’ve had didn’t need that.
Two major disappointments: first, they charge 4% extra if you don’t pay cash, and second, the extra protein listed as $2 was charged at $3. It may be a small amount, but it feels deceptive.
Long review
I ordered the Boat Thai Soup, and unlike other restaurants, the flavor was weak and watery. Normally, this dish is rich enough on its own, but here I had to add every sauce on the side just to get the taste right.
What really disappointed me were two things:
1. If you don’t pay with cash, you’re charged an additional 4% whether you use debit or credit. This feels unreasonable for customers.
2. The menu clearly stated extra protein for $2, but I was charged $3. It’s only a dollar more, but it comes across as dishonest and misleading.
Overall, the flavor was underwhelming and the business practices left a negative impression. I won’t be returning.

I had takeout from here. All the hot food was packaged directly into thin styrofoam containers that melted at the bottom and began shredding into the food.
I won't be ordering again until they change their packaging because I don’t want to eat melted styrofoam with my dinner every time.
Food safety standard issues like this is usually a pattern, not an isolated incident. I cannot trust their food to be safe if they think this unsafe packaging is acceptable.

A true diamond in the rough.
I never would have thought to try this place had it not been for a couple of coworkers who took me here for lunch one day. It's not near a lot of shops or an area that would see a lot of foot traffic. I will definitely be back to this little hole in the wall.
The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is welcoming. Even though the restaurant isn't that large, it feels comfortable. The tables are spaced far enough apart that you don't feel like you need to shout over other tables to hear each other.
The staff was very friendly and thoughtful. They gave great recommendations for someone new to their establishment. We never felt that we were ignored or left wanting.
Beyond all of that, the food was fantastic and didn't break the bank. I'll be bringing more people to experience this gem so I can try more of the dishes.

All around, solid hole in the wall to get your Khmer and Lao food fix! I got the dry Phnom Phen noodles and it wasn't the best I've ever had but it was good enough. The best I've had is in Long Beach! Papaya salad was Lao style but the sauce wasn't dark enough for me. I wish the they had pounded that papaya just a bit more ?
This place is essentially Lao and Khmer food. The sign says Thai but the food can be described as Northern Thai aka Isan which is essentially Laos if you know Thai history. Thailand took the Northern part of Laos way back when. That's why Isan sausage is basically Lao sausage ??♀️
