Mexican Food Birrieria Betto's & Mariscos

I have always ordered the birria with mole and extra tortillas. I mostly order to go - but I have eaten a few times in the restaurant. All the interactions with the staff were pleasant - no complaints. The food has a unique flavor and was consistently good for me.

I was disappointed to find out that the owners were unable to renew the lease of the building and closed on April 30, 2025. They have relocated to 116 N Santa Cruz Ave, Modesto, CA 95354. I am attaching fotos with information on their new location as of May 1, 2025 - in case anyone is interested in visiting them in Modesto, CA. - or would like to know what happened.

I had birria which was delicious. It is pricey but it is definitely worth it. The place was way too loud the cashier children were doing kids things and being kids but it was definitely a little too much noise to handle. I hurry up and eat and I order two more pounds of it for to go. I drove two hours to get there and almost there to get home because of traffic. If you are a female go with someone else and don’t bring a purse if you don’t make sure it is small and carry it on the front. Place looks clean the bathroom was clean and it is only one for men and one for women. The cashier locked herself in the woman bathroom almost for the entire time I was there so I ended up using the men’s bathroom and it was clean.

Place is overrated because they take time to write down your order and after that a longer waiting time to get your food and once you get it the meat was hard so it is not worth it to come here
