Everything about this bakery is great the food the service even how comfortable the place is inside perfect bakery with so much variety. Sesame and hot dog bagels are probably some of the best I've tried. Had to make an account just to post this.

I've been coming to this Chinese bakery for a while and I try to stop by whenever my parents are looking for some baked goods. My favorite is the Pork and Veggie buns. They are a good size and have just the right amount of filling. There are lots of baked goods to choose from and I think I tried them all. The lady behind the counter is sweet and nice and very helpful. It is cash only here. I'm glad to support her small business. The location is not the safest in the area. Just be aware of your surroundings.

Love Quiang's baked chai seiu bows! Best n town and they have the deep fried meat dumplings which are the best just made (crispy on the outside and delicious meat inside). Everything is good, it's hard not to try a little bit of everything. I always get a dozen and a half to 2 dozen baked bows when our kids and their families come in to visit. Closed on Mondays but they are usually open during all holidays. Support our local bakeries like Quiang's!

My FIL likes traditional eats and this is definitely a traditional place. We stopped here for some snacks and my husband went a bit overboard, but we were able to sample a lot of offerings and brings lots of treats with us on our visit. The location is not in a very good part of town so lock your door and be ready to deal with people you may not want to encounter. The bakery itself is austere; white walls and floor, bare bones, old school. The family working is patient and nice. We were able to get pork buns with cabbage, egg custard, baked and steamed bao and much more so they have a decent selection, even after noon. I love red bean and the sesame balls with far too large for me. I got a mostly oil and raw dough flavor instead of the sesame and red bean taste I wanted. I was surprised how much I enjoyed their baked red bean pastry, however, it was simple and tasty. My husband enjoys the meat buns and overall it's a fine place to stop if you are craving traditional Chinese fare.

CASH ONLY--mom and pop Chinese bakery in Stockton--one of the best Cantonese one's I've found! The egg tarts are nice and flakey--get there by lunchtime or they might run out. Their pineapple buns are also v yummy--crispy sweet top with my personal favorite filling--custard. Plenty of parking in the plaza! I always spend my money at the banh mi spot to get sandwiches and egg rolls and then walk down here while I'm waiting for my order. This plaza takes all my money but the little businesses are worth it--a solid lunch and extra snacks each time!

I am so happy I found steamed rice cakes and egg custard here in Stockton; but I love Qiang's for a whole lot more than that -- siomai (steamed only when ordered), baked and steamed barbecue pork buns, moon cakes, sticky rice in lotus leaf -- and a lot of other goodies!

The pineapple buns were delicious! It was just the right amount of sweetness and were very soft. I got both the buns with filling and without but prefer the buns without the filling. Cash only!

Interior: To-go only. There is a fridge and a few display cases/racks, not much to see. Service: Great! Def a mom and pop shop kind of vibe. Bonus points for speaking Canto if you need to practice :) Food: This is where I take the most issue, though disclaimer, I did go near the end of the day so the quality of it may be lacking because I got old stuff. I got 4 things: 1x dai gai bao (big chicken bun), x2 Char sieu so (bbq pork wrapped in flakey pastry), x3 Steamed cakes, and x3 Dan tat (egg tarts). The dai gai bao (big chicken bun): it was just okay, would give it a 3/5. It was the last one of the day but it was still warm, and soft so bonus points for that. This bun for those of you who don't know is supposed to be big and filled with lots of things: ground chicken, usually a large mushroom (like a shitake), half a hard boiled egg, and a piece of lap cherng (chinese sausage). It had all these things. But the thing that threw me off were the mixed in veggies which were definitely frozen peas and carrots and that you had to take one big bite (maybe 3/4 of and inch) before you even reached the filling. So the filling to steamed bun ratio was a little disappointing. The Char sieu so: A 2/5. The char sieu (bbq pork) itself was a disappointment, I felt like it was lacking in flavor and filling in general. The pastry was just okay. Egg wash was a bit thick, so instead of just browning the pastry I could actually taste the egg. Maybe a plus in some people's books? The Steamed sponge cake: ie the Ji bao dan gao. A 1/5 :( These were placed in the display case, I was hesitant to buy them seeing as there were so many left. But I thought to myself, "hey, it's my first time here, I should support the local business"... and I normally love sponge cake. Unfortunately, these were super dry on the top, it had crusted over. Again, it could be that I came near the end of the day but it was a huge disappointment. The flavor was okay with an orange taste (usually I believe they use some sort of orange peel to flavor? but not always). Overall, not sure I'd come back. I'd love to continue supporting them but I was left with much to be desired. I did note that they also sell Yue beng (moon cakes) but I am not sure how good they are. I'd consider going back to try other things like the BBQ pork buns but if it's anything like the filling in the flaky pastry I tried, I know I wouldn't like it. I did go an hour before closing so please take that into account when reading my review. I'm sure things are much better in the first half of the day when they're more fresh! So if I go back, it would def be to see if it's better in the mornings. Will update if I do.

Cash only .Togo orders only , no dining tables available. There really isn't any ambiance here, the counter is disorganized. I felt over whelmed trying to place an order . Don't do well in a clutter environment . This bakery surely elevated my anxiety. My GF was with me and we just randomly picked a few pastries to try . Special order cakes need 2 day's advance notice. Shu mai need to order ahead 30 minutes to an hour to give time to steam.Streamed rice cakes were my favorite , my friends like all the pastries except for the pineapple chunks pastry. I don't care for the red bean moon cake, the fillings were to dense for my liking.
