This is one of the best soul food places in Stockton! Their customer service was great, they let me know the timeframes when my order would be ready, and checked on me until the food was done. I enjoyed the owners! It’s also beautifully decorated, and the food was delicious! I almost didn’t take a picture of the food because of how fast I was eating, LOL! I’ve already recommended them to several friends and family members, and will be back in the future to try their fried chicken! I’m so glad I’m finding more and more Black-owned businesses! ?❤️

Do NOT support this business. I used to work here. Worked for almost 4 weeks, never received a paycheck! Don't get me started on cleanliness (the back is very dirty) and how they handle food (don’t wash they hands, they leave perishables out to spoil and will still serve it, and so much more) Don't believe me, check out my ig _.bria_ for proof.

I’ve ate here before, and I’m always a fan of the sides . Raved about this place and wanted to show my friend a new soul food place to eat at. Sat there for a while was not offered water had to get up and ask. The chicken had no flavor what so ever I’m not sure it must have been a bad day . Greens are always fire along with the cornbread . I was kinda disappointed and felt like I should have just made dinner at home.

Mac and Cheese was good. The two fillets of Basa fish were pretty salty. Couldn't eat the entire piece of cornbread due to it not being 100% cooked in the center. Very pleasant staff.

I have visited twice. 1st we took mom for cruise and lunch for Mother's Day. The food was OK. Tea was too sweet to drink.The prices are high so I would expect the food to be better. Normally I would not have returned but I really wanted to support this business. The next week I set up a similar cruise with girlfriends. The experience was far worse. They were out of almost everything. The oil in the fryer needed cleaning based on the fish that was served. Most of us did not finish the meal. I give 2 stars for the very friendly service of our server, although the other workers seemed to be unhappy to tend to guests. It pains me to say I won't be returning. My girlfriends had never been on my yacht so I was hoping for a great ride and a great lunch for them. The lunch did not measure up.

Never again, I bought some BBQ ribs that had the same texture as the rubber on my tires. Not just rubber. The rubber on my tires. As in where the rubber meets the road. I've never had orange ribs before. The ribs were Orange. Maybe they put some Goya seasoning salt on them I don't know. They were too salty. I could be wrong but to me they tasted like yesterday's leftovers. When I buy ribs I'm looking for fall off the bone professional pit Style ribs . Not Uncle Pookie at the family reunions ribs. It's a Reverend Bullwinkle / hell to the naw naw naw for me

Food was decent (nothing like homemade soul food) but the mobile bar on the patio was horrible. The bar staff was very unprofessional, had no menus, bartender was making up drinks off the top of her head, when asked what her specialty drinks were- she had none but states she had been in business over 10 years and she gave us 2 different prices for the same drink!! The restaurant staff was far more professional than the staff and a whole lot nicer. The restaurant and patio area are absolutely beautiful!!

I don't normally write reviews, but my family had such a great night stumbling into this place. Everyone made us feel like family the whole time we were there. The patio was gorgeous and had lots of seating and games to play while we waited for our food. The food portions were huge and tasted delicious! I got the etouffee with chicken and shrimp. Highly recommend.

So a few people and my self went here to have lunch , sad , we did not get a menu, no waiter , no welcome in . Instead we got bad attitude bad service also if you look at the menu we gotten ourself , you would see they where out of nearly everything, . This was on the 10th of April at 2pm . I will not return or refer anyone
Every plate that came out looked amazing, I was so excited to try the food here and it did not disappoint. Flavored to perfection, nothing over seasoned. Nicole was busy but she makes sure to be hospitable. I felt like I was eating with family. Great location and setup. Be patient because perfection takes time. you will not be disappointed.
